Vanity: Europe is burning and the Democrats pour on more fuel
Jim Robinson

Posted on 11/08/2005 3:38:21 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Am I missing something or are the Muslim riots in Europe largely a result of the same kind of socialist, multiculuralist policies that the Democrat leadership is attempting to foist on America? When will the Democrat leadership learn that appeasement to terrorism only emboldens the terrorists? When will they learn that their anti-America antics of late only adds fuel to the spreading fires? When will they learn that continuing to falsely accuse the president of "manipulating prewar intelligence" will only prolong the war and directly cause the deaths of many more of our servicemen and women and countless more deaths or maiming of innocent civilians caught in terrorist attacks?

The Democrats' desperate attempts at gaining political advantage, regardless of the cost in human lives, is disgraceful and treasonous. When will they learn that partisan politics ends at the water's edge? I pray that the American people can see through their vicious campaign of lies and partisan propaganda and will vote accordingly in the next elections.

We must ensure that America does not burn with Europe. It's way past time for Reid, Kennedy, Schumer, Howard, Pelosi, et al, to sit-down and shut-up! You're either with us or with the terrorists.

The answer to all those "When will they learn..." questions is that they have already learned, and quite well, and they are pursuing those goals purposefully.

It's way past time for the White House and Republicans to counter the Dem's vicious campaign of lies with a good solid dose of the TRUTH.

It's unbelievable to me that these two-faced hypocrites are launching these vile attacks on Bush day after day and the White House just takes it and refuses to defend itself.

The Domocratic Party has become the Anti-American Party! How can anyone fail to see that?

I am coming to the conclusion that Plamegate and AbuGraibgate and now the leak concerning secret prisons in Eastern Europe are the work of a treasonous coterie consisting of rogue members of the CIA, rogue members of the Senate Intelligence Committee and the Democrat Senate leadership, and certain members of the leftist press.

It's time to go after these treasonous rats. They have showed us the way with the Fitzgerald investigation. Now we need an investigation of the real traitors.

Above all, we need to break up the cozy complicity in treason between the Democrats and the press. There is no reason why working for the press should excuse anyone from being punished for complicity in treason.

It's amazing what a few years of public school and 4 years of exposure to marxist university professors can accomplish!!

It's more than a few years of public school, by my count it's more like 12+ years of socialist indoctrination and then 4+ years of Marxism in the University.

Seems like a small miracle we aren't like France already.

Surely socialism and egalitarianism via government policies plays a role; however, I think the real, basic dynamic of this insurrection is--envy.

Virtually, all revolutions and actions against the majority occur when a minority perceives itself as having less than the majority. History documents this battle between the "haves" and "have nots" is repeated over and over again.

The real problem with "envy" is there is no comparable normal human emotion. Pride, gluttony, lust, anger, greed and sloth all have a "normal" component of a lesser degree necessary for both life and perpetuation of the species.

"Envy" differs from "jealousy" in that envy's goal is the destruction of the object. In "jealousy" one wants to posses in total what the other has. This difference is well spelled out in the Parson's Tale from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.

Civilization and recent psychological, social and political thought have all neglected the place of envy in our many social ills. It is only obliquely referred to in political terms as "envy taxes". Conservative thought differs from liberal thought in its approach and condemnation of envy.

Proof positive of the place of envy in the French problem can be seen by the Muslims burning cars on a regular basis. Automobiles are something poor people cannot own. I further note, it is alleged that they are burning only "White" autos by not burning any auto with a Moslem slogan or a sylized map of Africa.

The price of admission into the liberal camp is the de-facto renunciation of one's AMERICAN-NESS.

When the leftists within our country realized that al-Qaida had attacked American CAPITALISM, then their war became one. Since Bush represents the promotion of capitalism, and the Iraq war represents the supremacy of American military power, we have the convergence of the real enemies of leftism.

They have chosen the wrong side, however, and I have confidence that despite the media being their principal enablers, their choice of sides will be their demise.

Just because the Dems have to pander to their Anti- American Left Wing base, doesn't mean the rest of us have to put up with it.

I heard on the radio today that Shiraq (sp?) is being criticized by his leftists for coming down too hard on the rioters.

When you hear the words "They'll Never Learn", the operative word is "Never".

The Dems continually try to ghettoize and Balkanize ethnic and racial minorities, hoping to keep them in a perpetual state of grievance, dependency, and paranoia. Thus the Dem program is an excellent recipe for the kind of situation we now see in France.

Speaking of those who never learn, it seems to be about time that a famous French-looking Presidential Election Loser headed over to the Fifi Republic to negotiate the peace - favorable, of course, to the terrorists.

The dems hope that we lose the war. That's the only hope that they have of regaining power. What's good for the country is bad for the democrats and what's bad for the democrats is good for the country. They are are treasonous bunch of losers that cannot be trusted with the national defense of this country.
