While Many Americans are watching the chaos unfold following 12 nights of mayhem by largely Muslim immigrants in the streets of France, a leader of the separatist Aztlan movement in the U.S. says it's only a matter of time before worse unrest hits the streets of America.
"Can a similar insurrection occur in the USA?" asks Ernesto Cienfuegos of La Voz de Aztlan.
Yes, he concludes.

We might be about there. Still a ways to go, but it is possible to see this evolving that way. It would take more than promises, though, and at present no one is even promising anything.

I trained and qualified with a number of weapons during my military career. I don't currently own a weapon, but try to pull that crap and I will be armed very quickly -- and it won't take me long to requalify expert.

Oh that's right - you come from the part of the country that doesn't park their cars near their house.

If I recall they didn't have ammo in the Rodney King Riots and that was in 94 '92

I think you need to calm down.
It's a very remote chance at the moment of this happening in the US.
And whatever you statement meant, I am having a hard time figuring out.

I said the riots were in 1992....that was right I believe....

I'm sure others can give lots of "reasons", too.
I'd think a reasoned response would be "fully automatic", wouldn't you?

I'm not upset at all. I just believe that a eprson's property extends to their car. And if they come with gasoline bombs, they will certainly use them on houses as well as cars. Now you and I differ because you believe that if it's only a car, only a shed, only a garage, it's okay, because it was not your house or loved ones. But you're mistaken, in my opinion, to believe that allowing any social breakdown (i.e. a firebombing of a car or your neighbor's garage) can be tolerated as long as they leave you alone. If they come into my neighborhood burning and looting, they will be met with deadly force.
And I was referring to the fact that if they burn your car, it could very well catch your house on fire due to the proximity of car to house.

The guest worker/bracero program was killed by LBJ, basically as a favor to the unions and Cesar Chavez.
I think it could work, just as it did in the past (although the Dems hated it even then). I don't think families should be permitted to come along (in fact, the Mexican illegals around here do not bring their families, and go home every winter to be with them) and I certainly don't think anybody who doesn't have a job should be allowed to stay. As for the illegal population, I think the biggest failure with all of the approaches is that they don't deal with the responsible party: Mexico.
Mexico benefits enormously from this, at virtually no cost to itself. It is a dysfunctional, corrupt, quasi-socialist (and hence fundamentally oligarchic) country whose politicians keep a simmering anti-Americanism going. Yet Mexico is rarely or never confronted on its behavior, and I don't think the border question will be solved until Mexico is called to account and made more responsible.
