Although the superintendent says he's under the impression the act wasn't done maliciously, it doesn't matter. I dont condone such costumes. Cartman is the only who can pull this off.

"He says this kind of action regarding race, religion, cultures -- just can't happen."
...unless the target is conservative blacks, Christianity or Western Culture.

Are you telling me that here in the land of the free and the home of the brave a young child is not permitted to dress as the distinguished senior Senator of West Virginia for Hallowe'en?

If they had dressed up a gangbangers, this never would have been a story.
But, which has killed more black people in the last 10 years? 25 years? 50 years?

What they should have done is put a name tag on the back of the robe that says, "BYRD (D) WV". They could have then claimed they were exercising their First Amendment right to engage is political speech, and then sue the school for violating their civil rights.

Are they sure the kids weren't dressed as capser the ghost? The costumes are nearly identical.:)

I remember for our school activities day some people came out for a Wrestlemania type event in full KKK garb as the KQ(We were a big hick town. no blacks went there). In retrospect it all apalling and a terrible thing to do, but I admit I thought it was hilarious at the time.
They were all suspended.

They should leave these poor children alone. Their parents only had enough money to buy them old sheets at Goodwill for their Halloween costumes.
To: day10
Isn't halloween that holiday where kids dress up as bad or scary characters? So what is the problem? If they had dressed as Satan, there would be no uproar. If they had dressed as murderers, witches, vampires, of Democrats nobody would have objected.

Oh they're just good little democrats celebrating the roots of the democrat party. After all, the KKK was founded by democrats. Truman was in the kkk. Byrd was in the kkk. The democrat tradition continues.
