Blic: Armed Units Take over Kosovo Roads

Pristina. Uniformed and armed individuals were stopping vehicles and asking travelers for identification on Sunday night on the road leading to the southern Kosovo village of Dubrava, the Albanian daily Koha Ditore reads, cited by the Serbian Blic.

Eyewitnesses told the daily that on Sunday night, between 11 and 11:30 pm, these armed units set up control point on the road leading to Dubrava.

Witnesses say that the unit members told travelers that they could freely tell the police about them. Urosevac police official Agim Demiri confirmed that several reports came in from people claiming that unidentified soldier asked them for identification on Sunday night near Dubrava.

Sources tell the daily that the unit responsible for these actions is made up of former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

There has been speculation that the reason for the activity of this group is to let local and international politicians know that they are ready to resort to military actions if the Kosovo status discussions veer of the direction that the former members of the KLA and the people of Kosovo wish for the talks to move in; towards independence.

That's right and the help is ongoing and will keep on going for some while. The policy was all along to sever Kosovo from Serbia.

The UN is AWESOME!!! What a great job they did. Can we go ahead and have someone ask General Wesley Clark if he is happy about the progress made in Kosovo?

Can we say the war went well, but he had no plan for the peace? SOB.

whats your take on this, boy?

2006, early 2007 is when Kosovo will be resolved and if it is done by violence (evidenced by these CP's), it will be returned to Serbian sovereign rule. If there is fighting, KFOR will split in its support of sides. Many field commanders will let Serbs fight and file false reports to what happened. Read my text...woof!

To much happening in the world to worry about Kosovo. US Troops needed elsewhere. The new Serbian Government will deal with the KLA and instill order. It will be somewhat of a mess.

exactly as that is the reasoning for the downsizing of the troop strength. Nevermind the ratinoale reasoning that is publicly stated, troops are needed elsewhere as we agree.
