MD4BUSH Asked To Come Forward
WBAL - TV (Baltimore, MD) ^

BALTIMORE -- For the first time, the operators of a California-based Web site are revealing they have evidence that an e-mail address from the Maryland Democratic State Party is associated with MD4BUSH.
WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team reporter David Collins said the operators of FreeRepublic.com are not revealing the name behind MD4BUSH. But this is the first time that they are suggesting the state democratic party is associated with the MD4BUSH account on their Web site.
Jim Robinson, the president of the conservative Web site, issued the following statement: "Free Republic has evidence that an mddems.org (Maryland Democratic Party) e-mail address is associated with the MD4BUSH account. This is not just coincidence."
They also call on the account holder to come clean.
Free Republic has the electronic trail associated with the saga of MD4BUSH.
(SNIP)
Last week, the name of Ryan O'Doherty, a former official with the state Democratic Party who left that job in January, surfaced publicly in connection with the MD4BUSH mystery. That happened when the governor's lawyer forwarded an e-mail with O'Doherty's name on it to the committee investigating the governor's firing practices.
(SNIP)
The I-Team caught up with O'Doherty outside the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, where's he's held a newly created job for the past nine months. The agency is publicly funded, with close ties to the mayor and county executives.
O'Doherty is a friend of Steve Kearney, one of the mayor's top aides. Sources said Kearney first tried to get O'Doherty hired in City Hall. Kearney told 11News he couldn't remember if he provided any help.
Collins reported in response to Free Republic's disclosure, Josh White, the executive director of the state Democratic Party, said how could anyone take the word of a right-wing Website that wants nothing more than to help the governor.

Apparently, according to democRats, any website that isn't rabid, foaming-at-the-mouth, liberal, socialist, or democRat is a Republican website. Independent, Libertarian, Conservative isn't in their vocabulary or thought ability.
To: nicmarlo; Bahbah
Actually, it would surprise me if Bahbah--who has retracted the statement--were a democRat. I think it was just a slip-of-the-finger.

Sorry, Bahbah, I was thinking the article said this was a Republican website.....but after reading through again, I realized they called it a "right wing website." The media/Rats so often state this is a Republican website.....looks like I'm the one who had a "slip-of-the-finger." : )

I don't know if he has a wife, but he is Stephen J. Kearney:

The head of Mayor Martin O'Malley's communications department has been named director of communications for the Archdiocese Of Baltimore, replacing Raymond P. Kempisty, who resigned June 13.
Stephen J. Kearney, 36, director of research and communications for O'Malley since 1999, is a former director of public relations at law firm Verner, Liipfert, Bernhard, McPherson and Hand in Washington, where he specialized in crisis management and issues campaigns.

Charges against priest rely on alleged victim's account

When the strange tale of a Baltimore priest and the man he is accused of raping goes to court this year, it will be boiled down to its essence - the word of the Rev. Maurice J. Blackwell vs. former parishioner Dontee D. Stokes.
--Snip--
The Baltimore Archdiocese, which is trying to get Blackwell defrocked, said it would cooperate with prosecutors, and has turned over related information.
"We report everything right away as soon as we know it," said Ryan O'Doherty, a spokesman for the archdiocese. "We give them every piece of information that is related to the incident so they can do their jobs."

Kearney and O'Doherty worked for the Baltimore Archdiocese at the same time. From the Catholic Review:
Archdiocesan communications director returns to City Hall
By Stefani Manowski
Staff correspondent
Stephen J. Kearney resigned as communications director for the Archdiocese of Baltimore effective Oct. 10.
Mr. Kearney, who took up the archdiocesan post in July 2002, will return to working for Baltimore City Mayor Martin J. OMalley as director of policy and communications. He served as the mayors communications director prior to accepting the position at the archdiocese.
--Snip--
"Its the truth of what we know," said Mr. Kearney regarding the listing of names. "What we have tried to do in the past year and a half is to bring about some healing, and hopefully, in some measure, we have succeeded."
"Past year and a half"=October 10, 2003. The article quoting O'Doherty as a spokesman was from May 2003.

Excellent!
The maggot infested Josh White might want to consider what happened to Danny Blather and Mapes after they got caught creating the news via lies.

I love it. We dig up the "Steve" comment and David Collins goes after the source. This is better than a Hardy Boys story.

Verner, Liipfert, etc. is
now DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary. The list of people in their
D.C. office is impressive. A lot of famous folks, from Dick Armey to former Michigan Governor James Blanchard to former Senator George Mitchell. If there's an "intermediary" you'd be willing to trust, they probably work there (or at any other top Washington law firm).
FYI - I don't think the Bernstein is directly related to Carl, but someone who has access to genealogy websites might want to check.

Why would Md4Bush use a Democratic Party e-mail address, especially when it's so easy to get a yahoo or hotmail account? Are they really that stupid? That was my thought too - they'd use an anonymizer and a freebie email address. But then Mary Mapes and Bill Burkett didn't think to use a monospaced font for their little creations, so I guess anything is possible.

Good catch. I'm still betting that the "intermediary" is none other than Damian O'Doherty, Esq. The Jim Smith/smitty connection is just so obvious.
Hopefully, David Collins and the good folks at WBAL will read this thread and ask Damian what did he know, and when did he know it.
It just keeps getting better friend.
