Those of us who lived through aluminum trees when they were new, not vintage, cannot share your enthusiasm.
I put up 5 trees each year. Four are artificial (not aluminum, though) and the largest is the one in the family room, which is a cut, real tree. Usually 8 ft or so.
I am a Christmas maniac! LOL!
