Those of us who lived through aluminum trees when they were new, not vintage, cannot share your enthusiasm.

I put up 5 trees each year. Four are artificial (not aluminum, though) and the largest is the one in the family room, which is a cut, real tree. Usually 8 ft or so.

I am a Christmas maniac! LOL!

That's probably true. I love the space age idea of the aluminum tree, and it looks so nice in the sunshine. I got it on eBay before they became so popular--it was a steal! It's just a little baby tree, though, that fits in my little tiny apartment.

LOL ... Every year my mother would put up one of those in the dinning room with red Christmas balls

I wonder if it's still in the house somewhere
