San Francisco voters Tuesday will weigh in on the national debate over gun control by deciding whether to make their city home to the toughest handgun ban in the country.
And in a place known for its left-leaning politics, gun opponents would seem almost guaranteed a victory.
Proposition H would make it illegal for city residents to possess handguns, and those who already own them would be required to turn the weapons in to police by April 1. The measure also would make it illegal to buy, sell, distribute and manufacture firearms and ammunition within city limits, though there is just one gun shop in town.

The three supervisors pushing San Francisco's Proposition H handgun ban are in for some heavy ridicule, they are nominated to the gun control hall of fame -- http://vikingphoenix.com/public/gchof/sf-prop-h.htm -- also on the ballot, "a coalition of anti-war groups placed Proposition I on the Nov. 8 ballot, which they say would make San Francisco the first city in the country to have a policy that opposes military recruiting in public schools."

I bet those supervisors go through LOTS of Proposition H.
Although how that helps their anal warts, I don't know.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one to read it that way. :)

Don't worry , you only have to wait to next year for a law banning free speech to be on the ballot

I'm not sure it's so much Propisition H that is the problem, as the Preparation H. If they'd have only spread it's benefits around, people may have eased into it better.

The law is already in process. They are passing a law to ban blogs on the Internet withing 90 to 180 days of an election. Except if you are MoveOn.org or G. Sorros.

Don't worry , you only have to wait to next year for a law banning free speech to be on the ballotA law banning free speach still won't fly in the US. A law banning hate speech, now that has potential. Especially where liberal groups get to define what is and isn't hate speech.

When I was working on a software project at Whitehall-Robins, I tourned many of their plants. One produced Preparation H and Chap Stik.
I mentioned to the plant manage that he better make sure the product packaging line aren't confused. He laughed, and later at a Christmas party, he used the same line I'd mentioned 6 months before.

Three communist supervisors are in for something heavy - and it ain't ridicule they are deserving.
We do not allow people to have guns. Why do you think we should allow them to have ideas?

I suppose Proposition H is meant to shrink the swelling of handgun proliferation.
