I see that "Schadenfreude" has crossed over into Hebrew.
However, it would be good if the French got their act together, crushed this insurrection, then looked at what happened and change their mindset so it never happened again. They learned the wrong lesson from deGaulle.

That's it! Land-For-Peace. That's what the world has been foisting on poor Israel, the smallest nation I can think of. Well, there's Monaco, and The Vatican.
But, yes! France should give them some land and see if they'll settle down. (sarc)

I wish I had thought of that, good one! That is the Kim Jong Il pronunciation anyway.

"schadenfreude is such a fine fine thing."
From the Sipmsons:
"Lisa: Dad, do you know what Schadenfreude is?
Homer: No, I do not know what shaden-frawde is. [sarcasm] Please tell me, because Im dying to know.
Lisa: Its a German term for shameful joy, taking pleasure in the suffering of others.
Homer: Oh, come on Lisa. Im just glad to see him fall flat on his butt! [getting mad] Hes usually all happy and comfortable, and surrounded by loved ones, and it makes me feel
Whats the opposite of that shameful joy thing of yours?
Lisa: [nastily] Sour grapes.
Homer: Boy, those Germans have a word for everything!"

I love the smell of Paris burning in the morning. Seriously, they have learned nothing from their history. They are known as cowards, quitters and appeasers. With that as a foreign policy, it is only a matter of time before they crumble from within from tyranny. Does anyone think that they will learn from this lesson, or will they revert to self reflection and ask what they could have done to be nicer to these people who are so angry. They must have failed them somehow. What is the french word for idiots?

"...it would be good if the French got their act together, crushed this insurrection, then looked at what happened and change their mindset so it never happened again." It would be good if liberals in this country suddenly came to their senses, too. But it ain't gonna happen.
One thing that can be counted on from the pridefully wrong-minded is more of the same.

Outstanding article. I am almost ashamed to say that I feel the French deserve this. Almost, but not quite. They at least need to have their faces rubbed in this for awhile.
