Prayer Request for a Man About to Have a Very Dangerous Surgery

I would like to request prayers for one of my dad's best employees and an all around great guy. Rick was helping a someone with their roof. When he got on the roof, he took two steps and fell backwards off of it. He crushed his heel, broke his leg and shattered a disc. My parents thought he would be ok, but received a call today from his mother. Rick is in critical condition because of the crushed disc. It sent bone chips into his spinal chord. This is very bad. He can move his toes now a bit, but doctors need to operate to remove the chips. The doctors are not sure if he will be paralyzed after the surgery, or worse, if he will survive the operation at all. He was married about two years ago. His family would appreciate any and all prayers you could offer, his surgery is Monday at 11. Please help us lift Rick and his doctors up to our Lord. Thank you all.

Lord, we lift Rick up to You, into Your loving and healing hands. We ask that You give Rick the strength he needs to not only live through the surgery, but to walk again. We know Lord, that we ask a lot, but we take comfort, and even rejoice in knowing that through You, all things are possible. Lord, we pray that Your hands will guide the hands of his doctors during the surgery. We ask that Your hands be their hands, as they remove the bone chips and fix any damage that there may be. Give them the wisdom to overcome any obstacle or complication that may arise. We also ask that You comfort Rick's family and give them peace in knowing that You are with them all, carrying them through this terrible time. We ask this in Your precious Son's name, amen.
