Bush Sends Eid al-Fitr Greetings to the World's Muslims Eid al-Fitr holiday marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan
President Bush sent greetings to Muslims around the world November 4 on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, the festival that ends the holy month of Ramadan.
In a White House press statement, the president welcomed the generous contributions of American Muslims to relief efforts in the wake of hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma.
Following is the text of the press statement:
(begin text)
THE WHITE HOUSE Office of the Press Secretary (Mar del Plata, Argentina) November 4, 2005
I send warm greetings to American Muslims and Muslims around the world observing Eid al-Fitr, the Festival of Breaking the Fast.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, a time of prayer, reflection, and fasting. It is the holiest month of the Muslim year. To celebrate this holiday, many Muslims gather in their homes and mosques to thank God for His blessings and His help in keeping the fast. Muslims also demonstrate their compassion by reaching out to the less fortunate and giving gifts of money or food to help those in need. This year, many American Muslims have reached out to the victims of Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma and to those affected by the devastating earthquake in South Asia. Their contributions have been generous and reflect the important values shared by all Americans.
Our Nation is blessed to count many Muslims among our fellow citizens. As Americans, we share a commitment to family, a belief in God's justice and man's moral responsibility, and hope for a future of peace and tolerance.
Laura and I send our best wishes for a joyful celebration. Eid Mubarak.
GEORGE W. BUSH
Make no mistake; the messages of Hamas and Islamic Jihad are steeped in evil. All homicide bombings are carried out one lone nut at a time.
Some of my Muslim acquaintances wish me Easter and Christmas greetings, and I wish them Eid greetings. It is an acknowledgement of our cultural differences, and mutual respect for what we each hold dear.
We gain nothing by hurling insults.
Cheers,
OLA
Let's assume for the sake of argument that you're right. By doing whatever he can to encourage these peaceful Muslims. By recognizing the peaceful ones and not antagonizing them, he at least prevents them from becoming radicalized, and might win over a few hearts and minds. This is the only way a minority can become a majority.
They're pawns in the game, financed by Syria, Iran, and the radical elements within the House of Saud. Again, there is a systematic campaign to destroy Israel and kill as many innocent Israelis as possible, and this campaign is supported by a distressingly high percentage of "average Muslims."
We gain nothing by hurling insults.
I certainly didn't suggest that President Bush should be in the insult hurling business, merely that he should stop going out of his way to kiss up to Muslims by inviting terrorist front organizations (like CAIR) to Ramadan dinners at the WH and mentioning how Islam is "a religion of peace and love" every chance he gets. Better just to say and do nothing.
Is the WH going to have a Passover seder as well? Nah, didn't think so.
No smoke and mirrors intended; the original assertion concerns war justification "for Allah."
All faiths in the United States Armed Forces invoked the name of God for battle. Our military command and control is descended from the United Kingdom model. For the 1776 and 1812 Wars, and our own Civil War, the name of God was invoked before military battles, on both sides.
In the USA, whenever a nutcase kills someone in the name of God, we don't condemn Christianity. And that same murderous act doesn't stop other countries from wishing our people a Merry Christmas.
Cheers,
OLA
State sponsors of terrorism deserve no well wishes. However, I often wonder if there is more behind CAIR than meets the eye, justifing the special White House favors.
Is the WH going to have a Passover seder as well?
It was always my impression the White House renders official customs and courtesies for our Jewish friends too.
Cheers,
OLA
I never criticized Pres. Bush for his statement; I just observed that this would be a fun thread.
"Many Muslim historians look upon the Mongols as looters and plunderers. They tell us that the Mongols were like the vandals, destroying everything on the way with the only aim to loot established rich civilizations. And the civilization of the Muslims at Baghdad was, the Muslims claim, the richest in the 13th century. This is wrong, while Baghdad was a rich and well endowed city, the Caliphate owed its riches to the constant looting of Persia, Central Asia, North Africa, Spain which the Muslim armies indulged from the beginning of Islam, till they were checked by Charles Martel in France and till their brutal; march across Central Asia towards China was reversed with equal brutality by the Mongols. If the Mongols were motivated purely by intentions of looting the Caliphate (which itself was a center where loot was collected and stored by the Muslims), the Mongols need not have traversed some four thousand miles from their homeland in Mongolia, to reach Baghdad, they could have as well attacked China which was hardly a few hundred miles from their homeland and was more rich and endowed than Baghdad.
The real reason why the Mongol horsemen made their way from Mongolia and started rolling back the Muslim from areas which are today known as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, finally reaching Iran, and Iraq, lay in the subterfuge, savage cruelty and other foul tactics which the Muslims had used to convert the Turks and Mongols to Islam"

"Many eyebrows would be raised when we talk of a Muslim Jihad against China. When did that happen, we never hear about Muslim rule in China. Yes there was a Muslim invasion of China. As there was of Persia, India, Byzantium, Spain, Balkans, etc. None of these countries had ever attacked a Muslim nation to bring about a retaliatory Muslim invasion. They has all been invaded by Muslims to compel the inhabitants to embrace Islam. The Dawat-ul-Islam (Invitation to embrace Islam) was sent out to the king of the neighboring country, and if they did not submit to one of the two conditions viz: Embrace Islam or Pay the Jaziya or face a Muslim invasion,, then they had to face a Muslim jihadi onslaught. China was one of those counties who had been sent an invitation by the founder of Islam himself Mohammed-ibn-Abadullah to embrace Islam. This invitation had also been sent to three other kings of Zoroastrian Persia, of Christian Byzantine and to a king of Hindu Kerala in India. The Chinese emperor did not quite understand the meaning of the ultimatum and thought that these were messengers from a far away land bringing a spiritual message. The Chinese had to come face to face with the real danger of Islam a century later when in the year 751, they had to march to the borders of their empire in Eastern China to check an Arab invasion launched from Persia.
For much of the early 700s, the Chinese Empire, under the T'ang dynasty, was successful in its foreign affairs. They recovered crucial lands they had previously lost and stabilized the Tibetan frontier. They secured trade routes through central Asia and contained threats from the Khitan and Hsi peoples. In the late 740s, Chinese troops claimed lordship over Kabul and Kashmir of India. But their string of victorious campaigns could not last forever, as China discovered at Talas River in 751.
Islam's widespread aggression through Persia and Central Asia came into collusion with China's Westward expansion into Central Asia. This led to the meeting of the two expansionist powers in Central Asia which finally erupted into pen warfare at the Battle at Talas River, the only battle between Arab Muslim forces and the army of the Chinese Empire. The Chinese troops were led by Kao Hsien-chih, who had been successful in battles in Gilgit and in the Farghana region. The Muslims were led by Ziyad ibn Salih, who was deputy to Abu Muslim (a Persian convert to Islam), with a band of 40,000 Ghazis (warriors crazed by Islams promise of wealth, women or martyrdom in heaven where the ghazis would be served by the many houris that the Terrorist Manifesto the Quran). These Ghazis came to China to wage a Jihad on the Chinese. When the Arab army marched from the south towards Talas. River, the Chinese general Kao (of Korean origin), decided to resist the Muslim invasion and marched towards Aulie-Ata on the Talas river with 100,000 Chinese troops in cavalry and infantry divisions.
In the Battle of the Talas river, the Qarluq Betrayal led to the defeat of the Chinese at Arab hands
On July 10th 751 AD the Arab and Chinese armies took to the field in Aulie-Ata on the backs of the Talas river. The Chinese cavalry seemed to initially overwhelm the Arab cavalry, but the Arabs had worked out a deal with one of the many Turkish contingents of the Chinese army viz., the Qarluq Turks, by promising them wealth and freedom in return for embracing Islam and betraying their Chinese masters. The Qarluqs who held a grudge against the Chinese for having reduced them to vassalage, viewed this as an opportunity to throw off the Chinese yoke by using the Arabs and had planned to later throwing off the Arab yoke as well and regaining their freedom from both the Chinese and the Arabs. The Qarluqs later played the main role in converting other Turkish tribes notably the Seljuks to Islam. At the Battle of the Talas river, the Qarluqs betrayed their own people the Chinese and went over to the Arabs At the battle of the Talas river where the Arab and the Chinese armies clashed, the Qarluqs who were a part of the Chinese army, opened a breach in their own ranks and allowed the Arabs to ford the river and helped them to encircle a part of the Chinese infantry butchering it to man. The Qarluq archers then surrounded their paymaster the general of the Chinese army Kao and shot him down. Now the Arabs followed their heinous practice of sticking the d\severe head of an enemy and parading it before the enemy army. The Chinese not being used to such grisly war tactics, fell into confusion and disarray, not knowing who had betrayed them, and their General Kao. They broke ranks and fell into confusion, shaking the Chinese center, which was rapidly assaulted by the Arab heavy cavalry and destroyed. Thus due to Muslim subterfuge and savagery the infallible Chinese war machine gave way under combined assault of the Arabs and the traitor Qarluqs, and they faced a heavy rout. From behind the treacherous Qarluqs fell upon the Chinese animals, baggage trains and supplies carrying away all they could and receded back into the steppe."

Was Muhammad a Islamonazi or a peaceful Muslim? That is thee model Muslim, so which do you define him as?
As in the Holy Bible, it all depends on the time frame and in what context. In an early Holy Qaran passage, Prophet Mohammed states all keepers of Gods Word, being the Old and New Testaments, shall be treated as true believers in God. Unfortunately, that verse is often overlooked by Islaminazis.

I'm still waiting for an example of England attacking America twice under the banner of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. Won't hold my breath though.
"Our military command and control is descended from the United Kingdom model. For the 1776 and 1812 Wars, and our own Civil War, the name of God was invoked before military battles, on both sides".
Anyone can invoke the name of God before a battle, so what? I want to know who invoked the name of God as the reason for the British wars against the U.S. , when, where? Was the attack on the U.S. launched in the name of God by the King? If so, when did he declare this?
"In the USA, whenever a nutcase kills someone in the name of God, we don't condemn Christianity. And that same murderous act doesn't stop other countries from wishing our people a Merry Christmas."
And a murderous nut in the USA has what to do with world-wide terrorism and warfare?
Though Pres. Bush may have wished our 'peaceful friends' of Islam a happy ramadan, I didn't hear anyone wearing a turban wishing America a "Merry Christmas". If they did, it would amount to suicide because their "friendly, peaceful" brothers would chop their heads off for blaspheming 'allah'.
As Paris burns, I'm guessing that before the riots and killings these muslims living in France would have been counted among your "peace-loving" islamic friends.
The White House pays proper respect for people of Muslim culture and/or faith by issuing an Eid greeting. Many Muslim culture nations reciprocate with both Christmas and Easter greetings to Christians of the world.
And we should not condemn all Muslims for the absurd actions of a few.
Cheers,
OLA
Prophet of Terror and the Religion of Peace--Part III
In the Third Part of this series on Mohammed's life, I will be focusing on three events that define the nature of Islam's foundations. At this stage, Mohammed had gained power through his assassinations, looting, massacares and raping. The Jewish Tribes of Medinah had been inhabitants of that city for centuries before the Prophet decided to make it the headquarters of his criminal activities. All the Jews were becoming increasingly dissatisfied and angered at the deeds of the Muslims. The Jewish Tribes were peace-loving, hard working tradespeople, whose purpose in life was to earn a decent living through honest means and hard effort. They were perfectly content with the religion of their forefathers and had never anticipated that the man to whom they had given shelter so graciously, would turn into the power crazed monster who was now turning around to attack them. Mohammed was in the position to carry out his hidden ambitions, which became clear soon enough.
With the utmost disregard for all human morality, ethics, or respect for human life, the Prophet of Islam systematically targeted and slaughtered the very Jews of Medinah who had helped him when everyone else in Arabia was kicking him like a dog. He was motivated by these primary reasons
His fanatic greed for all the wealth that had been created by the blood, sweat and toil of the Jews
His maniacal craving for power at any cost. The Jews were the biggest obstacle in his plan to subjugate all of Medinah, so they had to be removed, by any means possible
His fear of all other religions. Mohammed was a delusional Megalomaniac, meaning he believed that he was the Supreme Ruler of the world. Anything that threatened this sick fantasy of his, had to be exterminated. Since, the religion of the Jews rejected his pathetic claims to Divine rule, they were the targeted victims in Medinah, just as the Polytheistic Arabs had been his victims in Mecca.
The incidents narrated below demonstrate the horrific depth of Mohammed's atrocities. Keep in mind that Mohammed is the Model of Good Islamic behaviour and you will realise how Islam advocates genocide in the name of religion.

The first step toward defeating terrorism is when one understands the mindset of the terrorist. Winning the minds and hearts of the disillusioned Muslim will never occur when one insults a persons core religious values.
I'm still waiting for an example of England attacking America twice under the banner of Jesus Christ and the Christian faith. Won't hold my breath though.
In post # 69, I stated: "We've battled Islaminazi fanaticisms on and off since the Quasi War. We've battled England twice, without ever calling it war against "Christianity."
As Paris burns, I'm guessing that before the riots and killings these muslims living in France would have been counted among your "peace-loving" islamic friends.
Negative. While against France is a sort of poetic justice, never the less, the violence is appalling.
I didn't hear anyone wearing a turban wishing America a "Merry Christmas".
While a guest in a Muslim majority country, (which did not wear turbans) my gracious hosts respectfully wished me Merry Christmas and Happy Easter in both English and Arabic. And I believe their host nation officially wished Christians the same, world wide.
Cheers,
OLA
