· Scientist says device disproves quantum theory
· Opponents claim idea is result of wrong maths
It seems too good to be true: a new source of near-limitless power that costs virtually nothing, uses tiny amounts of water as its fuel and produces next to no waste. If that does not sound radical enough, how about this: the principle behind the source turns modern physics on its head.
Randell Mills, a Harvard University medic who also studied electrical engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, claims to have built a prototype power source that generates up to 1,000 times more heat than conventional fuel. Independent scientists claim to have verified the experiments and Dr Mills says that his company, Blacklight Power, has tens of millions of dollars in investment lined up to bring the idea to market. And he claims to be just months away from unveiling his creation.

He "studied at MIT". I wonder if he passed.

And I thought scientific paradigms couldn't be wrong. ;o)

He is a medic. Maybe EE doesn't get one a job anymore.

And I thought scientific paradigms couldn't be wrong. ;o) Paradigms are what you learn about sitting on a metal folding chair watching a slide slow. You can use them to make as much money as you want -- it's up to you.

Thanks for the ping. Maybe antiguv wants to run with this, but it's a bit too much like Art Bell for my taste.

The next cold fusion device or n machine.
This will be debunked by Monday, there is an error or anomaly.
I hope it is true, but it likely is not.

Perpetual motion machine of the month.I don't know. It's from the Guardian. Have they ever been wrong?
To: Anthem
Even the quantum physicists admit that quantum physics is not a complete theory. On the other hand, I suspect that this is another "cold fusion" idea.

Paradigms are what you learn about sitting on a metal folding chair watching a slide slow. I thought they're what you got from sitting too long on a metal folding chair watching a slide slow.
