Did 'revoked' living willkill communicative man?

Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.

Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.

"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."

The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."

"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."

Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.

"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

I know most of what I am feling right now is just guilt and failure for not stopping what happen to TERRI....

Read 8mm's words again - so very true! .....It comes at us not personally but for what we believe and that which evil hates.

Don't take it personal - evil wants you to feel guilt and failure BUT you are NOT! You are a child of the most HIGH GOD! We do what we can, praise Him, pray and do what we can (make phone calls, etc.) but never never be discouraged. Don't let the enemy get you down. Ask God for HIS strength, when we are weak HE will make us strong. And remember, we are all in this together - fighting the good fight!

It sounds as if Gerard Maxam died because God called him, with dignity, and that's the best we can hope for. :)

"I have yet to recover from the loss of Terri, and I didn't even join the fight until the last 3 months.... Let alone if I had been involved for the years that many were.... ""

Thank you for letting us know about June's Dad. Like you, I was shocked to hear what she was going thru concerning her dad. My prayers are with June and her family.

I doubt if we will *ever* recover from the loss of Terri. Like Floriduh Voter has said - America changed. I agree. America changed when an innocent woman was ordered to die. It was too horrible for words.

God Bless you for all the good work you do. Hope the pain in your neck is short term and goes away soon.

Something is seared into my mind. The hour of Terri's death we could practically imagine the evil ones dancing in triumph, but Monsignor Malinowski who was at Terri's bedside each day comforted us with a few words. Terri was safe and the devil was defeated. It was the lesson of Easter.

The evil ones could no longer harm Terri's body and they could not touch her soul.

When some of us were down and losing it, it was the Schindlers, of all people, who came by to comfort those who were in sorrow. We should all have their strength and understanding.

I'm so sorry but at least it wasn't man's doing. I hope that nursing home thinks twice before they participate in alteration of documents in future circumstances.

Gerald had to have been a special man to have a daughter like June who tackles complex issues like nobody else. Beyond that, she's a friend to many freepers.

We can thank Gerald for June Maxam.

The most difficult part about fighting the euthanazi's is that to do this, we need to think constantly about the value of life and the threat of forced death, i.e. euthanasia.

It is forced death i.e. murders and euthanasia that we are fighting. Death with dignity imo should not involve starvation and dehydration. Since Terri's murder, these issues have come to light: 1. Jimmy Chambers had a Living Will but changed his mind and wanted to live with a ventilator. Someone pulled out his trach and he's gone. 2. A man wants his daughter Haleigh kept alive on life support so that he doesn't get charged with her murder (child abuse). 3. You know more about Mae's case than I do but they were going to starve her and were stopped. 4. Baby Charlotte is still alive. 5. Sarah Scandlin woke up from a 20 year PVS state wherein she said that she could hear what was going on around her. 6. A fireman woke up after a long coma.

These are just instances we are aware of.

Forcing people out is unacceptable. Freepers and lurkers, that is why I am here. When our leaders recognize the difference between a natural death and a murder and federalize a ban that allows for REVOCABLE LIVING WILLS and if there are no directives, there is no forced exit. Period. We are here to stop MURDER BY JUDGE, ET AL.

Of course I cannot believe that Terri wasn't rescued. That was appalling. It was way below America's standards. Everything was in Florida regarding Terri Schindler schiavo=slave.

The blame can be laid at the feet of our country's broken justice system in bed with politicians in bed with the death lobby.

The death care system must be stopped. Patients need treatment, not Hitleresque, barbaric murders.

Judicial homicide is trending since the worst judge in Amerika got away with robbing and killing Terri. Judge Greer is destroying the Republican Party. They don't seem to care. www.judgegeorgegreer.com (this site is very, very complete).

I admire your strength

Please understand, I get discouraged and weak many times just like you are now but we are to lift one another up and encourage them during 'their' time of sorrow. And now it is your time.

When I think back on Terri, I too wish I did something. I visualize storming the hospice with 1,000 God-fearing Christians and, surely, two could have gotten through and took her out to a waiting car or the very least given her some water. I think what could have happened to me that The Lord could not have taken care of in His time. Spend some time in jail? So what, I'm here to serve Him by serving those who need it. He's My Master, not greer and his ungodly law. Where God says in HIS Word "Give drink to the thirsty', greer says 'no drink'. I know the guilt you speak of. And then I think of her parents and her siblings. their composure, their strength, their daily battle with the ungodly to save their own daughter at hands of the death cult, the mocking of them w/the words on her grave - truly their strength came from The Lord.

I think of the 12 year old boy and say - "He obeyed You Lord and he wasn't threatened or intimidated because he wrote a letter telling them why he did what he did - and didn't apologize for it"!!

EC, I share your grief. Our grief will never overtake us because we have the strength from Our Heavenly Father Who wants to give it to us when we ask - and I ask daily. We are truly in this fight against evil together and God provides what we need to fight it.

Have a restful Sunday as we praise Him today.

I LOVE YOUR WORDS - you said it all and it encourages me....

"AMEN! Defeat is of the enemy! NOT OF MY GOD
I AM A CHILD OF GOD! AND HE IS THE ULTIMATE VICTOR!"

You are truly a blessing, EC!!

ADD TO THE LIST: I forgot Scott Thomas. He's still a ward of his mom instead of his wife who is being investigated. Remember Eliza the wife said that he fell over the dog. Thomas says that Eliza hit him. Scott wants to live and said as much.

"Scott's Fight" has a web site which is linked on this thread. He's in Senator Jim King's district. I wonder how opposed King will be to Scott Thomas being spared. He's silent on Scott Thomas because next year is an election year and King doesn't want the voters to know that he voted for Terri's death and lobbied 8 other Senators to vote for Terri's death. THEY ARE ALL REPUBLICANS!

Jim King is a corrupt state senator. He showed more salesmanship talent with the senate than Gov. Bush did. King lobbied 8 to vote against Terri. Jeb didn't lobby them to save her. Jeb had no sales pitch to save Terri. None. Nada.

I swear, these days when a baby is born, he/she ought to be assigned an attorney along with the SSI #, and a birth certificate.

I thought my situation was bad, but June's is 10x worse.

Judge Greer is destroying the Republican Party. They don't seem to care

They may feel one man can't harm anything - yet all it takes is one when no one arises to stop it. Weakness is prevalent - it's all the PC crap - get along to get along. They didn't want to act outside the box - they stay within the 'safety' realm of ungodly laws. They are not leaders but puppets who are being 'stringed along' by the death cult. I guess the question is now - what part do We the People play now.

At least he went quick. My heart goes out to June and her mom. This is something no one should have to go through. Speaking of mom, she needs out of that facility, asap.

Don't forget that Eliza married Scott because she was here illegally. Once she had her "anchor baby", she didn't need Scott anymore. Deport her ass!

We've been trained to think there is a difference between Democrats and Republicans. When you step back and look, generally there isn't much difference. A lot of people talk about a viable alternative to the two party system, but I don't think at this point it will be feasible. Too many people are still drinking koolaid.

I think this could be a project that everyone could get behind.

How horrible.

If the doctors and the hospital do not think your life is worthwhile...they will go so far as to kill you.

They refused to treat my Uncle for Pnemonia, because he had an ultimately fatal, neurological disease. The hospital refused treatment, and so did the doctors. They sent him home to drown in his own phlem. He died gasping for air.

It is no longer our choice about how to live, or die.

We have turned a corner in the United States.

"Deport her ass!"

Absolutely!! But first her ass should go to jail, and when she gets out, she should be deported, and, of course, Scott's mom should raise the baby, if she is able, and Scott when he recovers.

Seems to me that Scott indicated that his wife hit him upside the head. Attempted murder, or aggravated assault, yes? She should have been taken in for questioning, months ago. With all the balhooey about domestic violence, the authorities sure don't seem too concerned. They drop the ball on DV situations too often, imo.

If they do bother looking for evidence at this late date, and if by some miracle she is found guilty in a court, then the child should be raised by Grandma. I'm surprised that the little rat hasn't run back to Poland yet.

That is how I see it too.

I am sure many who surf these posts also had seen even without realizing it the subtle nudge as a close family member took a quick unexpected exit. How many of us know of somebody close who was in the hospital, and found doctors and nurses shrugging that there was nothing to do, the patient just slipped away unexpectedly?

It happened twice in our own family. Yet at the time, we simply thought the authorities must have been right, not dreaming yet they may have pulled the plug to free up a bed. Now we are wiser and vigilant and maybe we can help others see how easily the trap is sprung.

Your tagline is a concise summary of what we have been facing especially with the situation of Terri. Logic and reason only aggravated those who lusted after death, the whole band of ghouls and useful idiots.

They are hoping we have turned a corner. That is why we keep up the fight. We have turned a corner, too, more and more people no longer wait like silent lambs.

8mm
