Kosovo, parts of Macedonia, Serbia should be annexed to Albania - Albanian leader

November 3, 2005 -- Leader of an ethnic Albanian political party in Macedonia, Arben Xhaferi, said in an interview for an Albanian language newspaper Express, that Serbian province of Kosovo, along with parts of southern Serbia and parts of Macedonia should unite with Albania.

Xhaferi was visiting political allies in Kosovo's capital Pristina where he made these comments.

"The formation of economically unsustainable and non-functional states is on the rise, which causes an increasingly growing social discontent. Why should the unification of Kosovo and Albania therefore be prevented if their citizens are in favor of it? The unification would preclude future economic crises," Xhaferi said.

Xhaferi, who leads the Democratic Party of Albanians or PDSh in Albanian, also said that Serbia and Macedonia are artificial states and that Kosovo should be renamed into Dardania because Kosovo is a Serbian name.

"Kosovo is a Slavic place name and it would not be right for Kosovars to identify themselves with it," said Xhaferi.

Dardania was referred to in ancient Greek texts and was once a small province of Rome. Kosovo Albanian President Rugova expressed positive sentiments towards formation of this new Albanian identity and once posed with a flag he claimed was Dardanian for New York Times.

Albanians have become emboldened at NATO and the international community backing up their landgrab in Kosovo. They want more - and after that, still more.

And here France is facing the sudden need to "go Serbian" to quell domestic unrest...the irony for Europe is striking.

Seems like a fair deal. If Kosovo want to be a part of Albania it should. Also then we could get rid of the refugees

Yes, we warned of Greater Albania during Clinton's adventures back in 1999. No one listened.

If we were smart, we would rearm and re-equip the Serbian army...

I am so happy that I am not from that region. Its a mess. I think Macedonia should be a part of another bigger entity.

I don't see what the problem is. Kosovo is 90% ethnically Albanian; they want to join Albania. Who cares? Let them do what they want. It would only be a "land grab" if Kosovars didn't want it.

The problem is a pattern of Muslim immigration, insane birthrates, and then annexing territory once they achieve a majority. Who can share a representative state with a population that is guaranteed to outvote them in 2-3 generations?

But they don't wish to be - they broke from Yugoslavia - their break was the only one that didn't involve war when breaking. However, several years later (in 2001) they did have a war in the northwestern section with Albanians - from all accounts Macedonians and Albanians live separately in parts of Macedonia now, and Macedonians ethnically cleansed by the Albanians still can't go back to their homes.

So, the Macedonians chose to break with Yugoslavia, and they don't want to join Bulgaria, Greece, or, heaven forbid, Albania. I guess they will get widdled away more and more by the Albanians.

Hitler 1938

".. At Munich he got an international agreement that Hitler should have the Sudetenland. Chamberlain said it was "Peace in our time". Hitler said he had "No more territorial demands to make in Europe." On October 1st German troops occupied the Sudetenland: Hitler had got what he wanted without firing a shot..."

Many of them are illegals, or descendents of illegals from Albania. Many of the homes, businesses, and property they control now was built and/or owned by Serbs (and other non-Albanians) who were threatened, killed or chased out. Serbs heavily financed the infrastructure of Kosovo for decades and are still stuck paying off the debt but unable to collect taxes. Also, the Albanians have shown no maturity nor ability to give even basic human rights to non-Albanians - not even medical treatment, schooling, freedom of movement, safety to farm one's own land, etc.

The West has been creating Islamic countries for a variety of reasons over the decades -

Kuwait from Ottoman Mesopotamia

Azerbaijan from Iran

Saudi Arabia

Pakistan

Even Eritrea from Ethiopia

The Balkan Muslim states.

We'll wake up when Muslim enclaves in say, a major Euro city riot, and begin demanding their own statelets.

At least Kosovo should be a part of Albania to stabilize the region. Kosovo is mostly Albanian and that makes it not that strange to unify the to countries. Kosovos situation is not good.

This will mean Albania's army directly pointed towards central Serbia - once Kosovo becomes Albania, Albania's army will have rights to that border. Albanians will gradually settle new areas of Serbia over the border - using bribes (money from drugs), threats, population flooding, and claims that it was ancient land and they will start another war and uprising. They've learned that terror works and the international community wil back them up.

This article hear is about them wanting additional parts of Serbia outside Kosovo - in the east where there is some Albanian population. But there are also Albanians in other parts of Serbia (and Montenegro) and they've even had claims that the Serbian city of Nis (further into Serbia still) once was Albanian (and also some Bulgarians say it was once part of Bulgaria too).

You give them Kosovo, they will want more. Are they worthy? Have you ever studied them or their culture closely?

Kosovo is the ancestral homeland of the Serbs. The time has come when the wholesale extermination of the moslems is looking like the only route to survival for the western world.

Islam is the enemy and the war on terror ends with the death of the last moslem

Funny, now that Kosovo has been cleansed of Serbs, as so many will advocate, why should they be part of Serbia anymore.

circular logic.

And as history shows, in many ways, the West has proven as disastrous to the Serbs as the Turks.

The Kosovo Contact Group (USA, UK, Russia, Germany, Italy, France) is supervising the negotiations for Kosovo's future status. Below is reportedly the draft list of their negotiating terms of reference; point 6 says Kosovo is not going back to Serbia as it was pre-1999 nor will it be joined with any other country:

1. Kosovo’s status should be fully compatible with the international standards of human rights, democracy and international laws that will contribute to safety in the region.

2. Kosovo status should be in conformity with European values and standards and should contribute to achieving a European perspective for Kosovo., namely through the process of Stabilization-Association, and general integration into the European Union.

3. Solution of Kosovo status should provide sustainable multi-ethnicity in Kosovo, and the process should ensure mechanisms and guarantees for implementation of human rights, minority rights and the rights of refugees and IDPs to return to their homes.

4. Solution reached should allow all communities in Kosovo representation in the Government at all levels. Effective structures of self-government should facilitate co-existence of various communities and full access to public services through the process of decentralization.

5. Solution should include special guarantees for protection of cultural and religious heritage.

6. Definition of status definition of Kosovo’s status should strengthen regional security and will ensure that Kosovo will not return to situation pre-1999. Any decision that is unilateral or a result of use of force will be unacceptable. There will be no changes in the current territory of Kosovo, which means there will be no division of Kosovo or unification with any state or with any part of any state.

7. It will ensure security in Kosovo, and will also ensure that Kosovo will not pose a military or security threat to its neighbors.

8. Definition of Kosovo status will advance efficient mechanisms to enforce rule of law, to fight organized crime and to maintain the multiethnic character of police and judiciary.

9. Definition of Kosovo status will ensure that Kosovo can develop economically and politically and will be able to cooperate with international financial institutions.

10. Kosovo will continue to need international presence, civilian and military for some more time.
