Free Republic to Speak About MD4BUSH and the Washington Post

Newspaper Involved in Scandal that Goes Beyond Governors Race and Maryland Politics

WHEN: Friday, Nov. 4, 9:30 A.M.

WHERE: 1150 15TH ST., N.W., Washington, D.C., The Sidewalk in front of The Washington Post Bldg.

DETAILS:

FreeRepublic.com, an independent conservative news and activism Web site, will hold a press conference in front of the Washington Post building in downtown Washington, D.C. at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 4.

FreeRepublic.com, one of the most popular and influential political Web sites, was used by a poster at the forum with the screen name MD4BUSH to play a political dirty trick on another FreeRepublic.com poster. The dirty trick breached the confidentiality of the poster with the screen name NCPAC.

The apparent aim of the dirty trick was to clear the path for Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley to run for Maryland governor while hurting the sitting Governor, Bob Ehrlich, who is running for re-election.

The Washington Post played a key role in the furtherance of this dirty trick. Their role in this scandal has ramifications that go beyond Maryland politics and is reminiscent of Watergate, but with the players' roles reversed.

Well, Mr. Ryan O'Doherty, Communications Director for the Maryland Democrat Party, you're about to have your cover blown. About time, too. We're going to expose your sleazy dirty trick.

With all the (MD4Bush) media attention that FreeRepublic.com has been getting the past few days, we should expect a bunch of new folks joining FR. Especially in MD, lots of conservatives feel all alone in a sea of blue.

The Baltimore Sun, WBAL and the Washington Compost are helping those lost and lonely conservative souls find FR.

I will try to be at the press conference outside the Compost building tomorrow, to take photos and make note of any Old Media in attendance. Who knows, maybe Matthew Mosk will show up, in Groucho Marx disguise...

Indeed.

Freep The Post.

MD4BUSH is goin' down!

TSR I'm not going to hold my breath. Besides MD4BUSH is just one player. Who really holds the strings? Duncan, Oakley, Curran? Don't forget Curran's daughter is married to Baltimore Mayor O'Malley.

What did The Washington Post know and when did they know it?

The New York Times and The Washington Post have managed to sink to the level of Hearst Newspaper chain in the the heyday of yellow journalism.

Right. Although I would imagine that the television news (WBAL Channel 11) will also be there. They have been covering the story as well.

what does US Newswire charge for this service?

It depends on how widely the press release was circulated. It isn't cheap. More info from U.S. Newswire Services here.
