We've seen more pictures of Joe Wilson's wife than of the widening riots in Paris and Denmark in the U.S. news...

AH Paris... We Have a problem....
I read on Foxnews that Chriac thinks they can resolve this issue with discussion and understanding... a week into this rioting and it spreading... I think the time for discussion and understanding is past...
This is the price of appeasement, and what would occur if we were to appease all the extremists here.. appeasement did not work for France in the 1940's and it is not going to work now...
What is the EU and the rest of Europe going to do when this spreads outside of Paris..France... Denmark... They are going to have real issues there really quick...
I think Europe needs to review its history prior to WW2.. things are beginning to look familiar

Observers are pointing to France's failure to address deep problems of poverty and immigration, including tensions with its Muslim minority. This observer is pointing to the muslim minority's refusal to even try to assimilate, which leads to perpetual poverty.
Send them back to whatever hell-hole they came from and let them riot over there.

Seventh straight day of violence? Sounds to me as if these people were prepared. There seems to be some organization behind the violence.

"The riots started last Thursday following the accidental electrocution of two youths, aged 15 and 17, who had scaled an electrical relay station's walls to escape a police identity check in Clichy-sous-Bois."Sounds like it worked out perfectly.

OK, and how many of us here more or less predicted that France/Europe would be facing something like this crap? Mooslems are NOT peace activists. They are killers, looters and embrace a child molester as their Patron saint. France welcomes them and this is what they do?
Serves France right. They are getting what they deserve.

This is a stupid question, but does anyone know if, overall, this is as bad as it sounds? Is this the sort of thing the police over there are capable of putting down w/ anything short of extreme force?

I lived in Paris for 14 years.
Even in the mid-eighties, French people were telling me that the suburbs ( don't think of them in the same vein as Suburban America) around Paris were a ring of time bombs waiting to explode.
I can't say I am at all surprised. When law and order goes, and lawlessness goes unchecked, anarchy results.
Chirac fiddles, and debates, while Paris burns.

Once again the Moslems cost Europe more unrest and violence.
When will they learn to quit the liberal B.S. and treat them as the enemy's of the State they are.
Maybe they should hire GW to learn how.

How long before they decide to bomb establishment targets? Perhaps a few roadside bombs? CNN ran a puff piece on this last night interviewing various French Muslim bigshots, who said they were French first and Muslims second. (There's a whopper.) All they demanded was a fair slice of the pie, recognition, respect, decent living conditions, good jobs, yada yada yada. Evidently CNN is buying this nonsense.

I bet many of these Muslims are delusional enough to believe they are on the verge of creating an Islamic state in France.
