Paris Riots spread throughout north-east (7th Night of Violence and Burning)

Paris riots spread throughout north-east Posted at 8:20pm on 3 Nov 2005

Violence broke out in impoverished Paris suburbs for the seventh straight night, with rioters clashing with police and leaving a trail of torched cars and vandalised buildings.

Observers are pointing to France's failure to address deep problems of poverty and immigration, including tensions with its Muslim minority.

In Aulnay-sous-Bois in the worst-affected area of Seine-Saint-Denis, a police station was briefly besieged by gangs of youths while a gymnasium and a garage were set ablaze and a commercial centre vandalised.

A total of 40 vehicles, including two buses, were torched before midnight in nine towns in the Seine-Saint-Denis area, a high-unemployment largely-immigrant region. Police made 15 arrests.

Two primary schools were also damaged in the area northeast of the French capital.

The riots started last Thursday following the accidental electrocution of two youths, aged 15 and 17, who had scaled an electrical relay station's walls to escape a police identity check in Clichy-sous-Bois.

The firing of a police tear gas grenade against a mosque in Clichy-sous-Bois during clashes on Sunday also sparked rage in the suburb's large Muslim community.

While we don't have the same policy now. The more we lean towards the left the more we are opening the door to it. The vast majority of illegals who come here do so to work. I feel like that can't be said of those who come here on "asylum", but I'd need to research that.

The irony is that a lot of the illegal mexicans are more productive citizens than the parasites on welfare.

CNN's poll today has 47% of Frenchmen calling for the deployment of troops into Paris suburbs.

And there is the difference between the population of France and the US in a nut shell!

After 7 nights of muslims rioting and spreading to different cities in the US who thinks that more than half of Americans would not be calling for tough National Guard action. It would be like 75 to 80% of us calling for tough action, that is assuming the citizens were sitting around after this many days without starting to take action themselves.

Well, I think you deal with the individual behaviors. If you let people know clearly and consistantly that criminal acts, whether alone or in groups of ANY kind, will not be tolerated, I would think that they would get the message.

If a group organizes such activities, you go after the group, regardless of affiliation. In these cases, we are seeing that muslim groups are largely responsible for quite a bit of terrorism and crime. If society will not tolerate the behavior, it will send out a message to all groups.

I could make the argument that islamic affliation is an identifier for a profile of risk now. If the Norwegian Lutherans start engaging in that behavior at some point, I would make the same argument at that time.

In theory, I don't object to Islam as a religion. In practice I strongly object to those who would impair all of our civil rights. If Islamists want to violently establish a caliphate by killing and rioting, I think they should be met with appropriate force. An 'islamic terrorist' is a valid label and identifier at this point in history.

It seems to me that political timidness has prevented us from being able to deal with inner city crime and terrorism. The legacy of the liberal plague has had .gov trying to solve 'the root problems' and not dealing effectively with the sociopathic behavior. If you want to find a 'root problem', I would nominate that this tolerance of sociopathic behavior would be more appropriate.

For instance, I have chronic PTSD. It is not up to society to solve my 'root problem'. It is up to society to deal with any sociopathic behavior that I might display, as some of my brothers have done. It is my responsibility to deal with the causes.

"Have I hurt you yet?"---oops had a flashback.

Anyway, I think it is a valid concern about Islam. It would appear that the culture tolerates radicalism and terror towards non-believers. If any group does that, they set the stage for generalizations. If there were as loud a noise from other muslims about the horrors of terrorism, I think the issue would have not been as visible. The rest of Islam hasn't, hence the stereotypes.

Keep in mind, Sociology considers any statistical correlation above 10% as significant. If you analyzed the current terrorism/violence cycles, I wonder how islam and terror would correlate? Too bad our current crop of Sociologists are so lefty. They are being pretty quiet too.

I guess, the upshot of my ramble is:

Don't go around killing those who disagree with you, and you are probably safe from being labelled a terrorist.

We can fix the problem for them, but it's going to cost them the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and a bakery window.

The difference is that the boys in Lewiston hunt. How long do you think the real folks in that area will put up with rioting, burning, and looting.

Tolerance goes only so far.

A question for you all -- in all seriousness. How does a free society handle this --

Only one way...do not let muslims in...ever!

Muslims have been kicked out of Europe several times because the were causing worse problems. Some of the Christian West's worst atrocities have come about dealing with islam.

You would think that people who can read would understand that the teachings of the koran have not been changed so we will always have the same problem.

The problem: we refuse to learn what history has taught us! It is only going to get nastier. We now have two choices....fight and get these people out of our societies or to manageable numbers with in the societies,or slowly surrender. Politicians of Europe will have to go through many many atrocities before their populations will allow them to fight.

"Four live bullets were fired. Two shots were fired at La Courneuve against police.

They can't say they weren't warned. The article below is about La Courneuve, and it is from 10/01:

In Suburban Squalor Near Paris, Echoes of Jihad.

The French Connection, Jaqueline, the SECOND wife is the real story behind Joey's lying intrigue

I think you may be on to something.

Joe and Jaqueline have a connection through Gabon. I'm beginning to think that Niger and the forged documents are a misdirection. A classic red-herring.

Is it possible that Saddam was getting his yellow-cake Uranium from Gabon? If he were, wouldn't it make sense to set up a dis credible deal with Niger to distract attention?

Both Joe and Jaqueline have French connections and are on Gabon's payroll. I think we are seeing only the tip of the iceberg.

you will love this spin then:

http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5744,17134239%255E601,00.html

The article ends by saying:

"France since 1905 has had an official separation between church and state.

The Interior Minister wants the system reformed to allow the state to fund mosques and Muslim associations of moderate religious and political views"

France's solution seems to be to allow the Muslims to have STATE FUNDED MADRASSA'S. France is Lost!!
