Michael Schiavo endorses Kaine

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Michael Schiavo, who was at the center of a passionate national end-of-life debate when his brain-damaged wife, Terri, died in March, endorsed Democrat Tim Kaine for governor Wednesday.

"I have seen firsthand what can happen when a governor disagrees with a single citizen. In Florida, Gov. Jeb Bush abused the power of his office in an attempt to replace my personal family decisions with his own opinions and political grandstanding," Schiavo wrote a six-paragraph statement distributed by a Democratic political consulting firm in Miami.

Conservatives vilified Schiavo for ordering the removal of the feeding tube that had sustained his wife for 15 years. In the resulting legal and ideological conflict, Congress, Jeb Bush and his brother, President Bush, all sought to have the tube reinserted.

This is an excellent opportunity to criticize the scumbag. Of course we don't care what he says but he got fired from MacDonalds once and Michael Schiavo is under investigation for falsifying his education right now.

He's being used by the death lobby but I'm sure that they stroke his ego often to keep him on board.

It was in VA that Hugh Finn was put to death by his demanding wife against the wishes of Mr. Finn's parents. Then Governor Gilmore had tried to save Mr. Finn's life, but to no avail.

Yes, liberals believe in "free choice" only when the subject makes the "choice" that they "endorse." And if the person does not make the liberal choice, the liberals will correct the individual's "error." Was it ever reported how Mrs. Hugh Finn spent her insurance proceeds?

Actually, according to national polls, there are millions of our fellow Americans who admire the "courage" and "spunk" of the FL Republican Michael R. Schiavo, even if they are not "Republicans" themselves.

There is a weekend picture of Kaine along with Governor Warner, his father-in-law Linwood Holton, and a Democrat congressman pushing the Democrat campaign in VA. The Democrats believe that they will hold VA in part based on Warner's popularity.
