Headline on Drudge's front page. The link to story wouldn't work for me.
UPDATE
AARON BROWN OUT AT CNN
Wed Nov 02 2005 15:43:11 ET
To: All CNN Staff
From: Jon Klein
We have made some programming decisions which will impact our prime time schedule as well as our colleague Aaron Brown. Aaron will be leaving CNN and is very much looking forward to some well-deserved time off with his family.
Aaron has made enormous contributions to CNN since his groundbreaking anchoring of Sept. 11th through the war in Iraq to the Tsunami to the recent hurricanes. Outside of the big stories, on a nightly basis, Aaron has provided our audiences with insight into the events of the United States and the world with eloquence and the highest journalist integrity.
Besides his stellar work as an anchor, Aaron stands as an absolutely brilliant writer, evident by the thoughtful perspective he injects into every story he touches.
Personally, I will miss Aaron and his wicked sense of humor. We cannot thank Aaron enough for the skills and professionalism he brought to CNN. Given his respect throughout the industry, there is no question that he will be missed.
Lemme guess, after John Roberts "sloppy seconds" comments to McClellan, CNN wanted him to replace Brown?
He'll pop back up as Rather's perm replacement. *puke*
He should have stayed at ABC in the middle of the night, where he was funny and reasonably interesting.
..."He's a disgusting journalist."
Don't you mean reader?
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy! I'm sure his viewers, all ten of them, are deeply saddened!
Q: "Could there more of a whinier voice than Aaron Brown?"
I meant could there be... A: maybe Fran Drescher, Susan Estrich
Save yourself the pain - the new guy will be just as bad or even worse. It's CNN, after all.
He always seemed to be the kind of guy who spent a lot of time in front of a mirror.
I never watch TV so I haven't heard him. I've often seen him deplored here on FR.
Liberals do tend to have whiny voices. Especially on NPR.
CNN is hoping to be more balanced. For their new anchor, they will try to reanimate Lenin's corpse.

Broadcast journalist Ted Koppel, the face of late-night newscast "Nightline" for a quarter century, will anchor the show for the last time on November 22, but ABC News has not decided who will replace him, the network said on Thursday.
Koppel, 65, becomes the latest in a string of veteran network news anchors to sign off in recent months, following Tom Brokaw of NBC, Dan Rather of CBS and Koppel's ABC News colleague, the late Peter Jennings.

Yah. the link is dead.
So is that "out" like in "fired" or is that "Out" like in "Good friends" with Shepherd Smith....????
Who cares?
People actually watch CNN these days?
Buh-bye, left-wing stooge.
His voice always reminded me of the boss in "Office Space" or the Adam West Batman.
Drudge always tries to dramatize. But to me, "out" means fired.
He'll end up on MSNBC with all the other deadbeats!!!
AW, gee! He bought that $5000 toupee, and now he won't get much use out of it.
