The Rev. Jesse Jackson to address nation's racial issues
By David Gonnerman '90 November 2, 2005
The Rev. Jesse Jackson, who has made numerous trips to New Orleans since the Hurricane Katrina disaster, will appear at St. Olaf College Sunday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. in Boe Memorial Chapel. The title of his talk is "Race and the Response to Hurricane Katrina." Jackson's exclusive appearance, which is not part of a tour, is being sponsored by the St. Olaf Political Awareness Committee. The event is free and open to the public.

You have my sympathies. As for what to do about it, I don't have an answer. I doubt you could get away with picketing his appearance. You could always contact the alumnis and let them know where their money is being spent...or are they a bunch of jackass worshippers too?
Good luck!
I'm still waiting to hear what's "reverend" about him?
Use the Ann Coulter solution, hit jesse with a pie, but spit on the pie first. Jesse admitted that when he was a worker??? at a resturant, he would spit in the food that was going out to the "white folks". He has always been a class act. LOW CLASS.
If I have the details right, some years ago, JJ was in California for a shakedown. The CEO of some company put JJ on the defensive, by asking him where he got his money. It was great to see JJ back down.

I laud any company that can put a stop to JJ's extortion racket. Unfortunately, it seems that a lot of businesses have been raped and pillaged by this guy without any resistance. Too bad all the energy and expense being put out to fry Lewis Libby couldn't be used to throw this fraud's sorry butt in the slammer.
The Church of the Holy Handout
Jesse was down here in New Orleans and said he would bring 200 people back to New Orleans for the clean-up jobs. There is NO housing to be had in New Orleans but that didn't matter to "Hey, look at me" Jackson. Anyway, when they finally arrived, 20 people on the bus were from here and 180 were from other parts of the country. Mayor Nagin wouldn't let them stay because they weren't from here. Even the 20 from here realized that this was a bad situation and returned to the busses Others got right back on the bus to return home. O.K. Nagin=black + Jackson=black? Was there racism involved here? I think not - Common sense tells you to stay out of places that have no good drinking water, no electricity, no telephones, no housing and no jobs! On free republic as wekk as some websites there was a moment by moment account that occurred right after the hurricane. I do have the account but may have to mail it from another location.
