Does this ring any bells? Is there a state that is a greater threat to
international peace than Iran? How much terrorism does a state have
to sponsor, how many member states does it have to threaten with
destruction, and how far does it have to get in obtaining the ultimate
means to carry out such threats before the collective obligations of
free nations under the Charter are remembered? <<<
I think this may be why all of a sudden I was sent that batch of posts on Iran and terrorists, I had to go and sleep as I couldn't see to read, so don't know what else has been posted.
Iran is beginning to feel like Hitler did, so evil that one must do something about it.

Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc. they all export and fund terrorism. Iran is the best bet to develop the "bomb." My biggest fear however is that the US, Israel and England will become paralyzed with political correctness and fail to respond to the threats.

Worldwide Caution
December 12, 2005
This Public Announcement updates information on the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against Americans and interests overseas. This supersedes the Worldwide Caution dated August 2, 2005 and expires on June 12, 2006.
The Department of State remains concerned about the continued threat of terrorist attacks, demonstrations and other violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. Ongoing events in Iraq have resulted in demonstrations and associated violence in several countries. Americans are reminded that demonstrations and rioting can occur with little or no warning.
Current information suggests that al-Qa’ida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks against U.S. interests in multiple regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics to include assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings and bombings.
Extremists may elect to use conventional or non-conventional weapons, and target both official and private interests. The hotel bombings in Jordan in early November illustrate how terrorists exploit vulnerabilities associated with soft targets. Additional examples of such targets include residential areas, business offices, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools, public areas and locales where Americans gather in large numbers, including during holidays.
In the wake of the July 2005 London bombings and the March 2004 train attacks in Madrid, Americans are reminded of the potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems. In addition, extremists may also select aviation and maritime services as possible targets.
U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance, be aware of local events, and take the appropriate steps to bolster their personal security. For additional information, please refer to “A Safe Trip Abroad” found at http://travel.state.gov.
U.S. Government facilities worldwide remain at a heightened state of alert. These facilities may temporarily close or periodically suspend public services to assess their security posture. Hizbullah establishes HQ in Gaza

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- The Iranian-sponsored Hizbullah has established a
command center in the Gaza Strip.
.Israeli officials said Hizbullah, based in Beirut, set up the center in
the Gaza Strip in wake of the Israeli withdrawal in September 2005.
The headquarters has been used to transfer money and orders to
operatives in the West Bank.
."Hizbullah has set up a forward HQ in the Gaza Strip to provide a
direct link with terrorists in Judea and Samaria [West Bank] to
transfer funds and instructions," an Israeli government statement said
on Monday. "Hizbullah conditions the receipt of such funds on the
perpetration of terrorist acts against Israeli targets, regardless of the
particular ideology of the cells and terrorists involved."
.This was the first time the Israeli government reported the operation
of a Hizbullah center in the Gaza Strip. In early 2005, military sources
said Hizbullah agents infiltrated Palestinian areas of the Gaza Strip
and were recruiting operatives.

BAGHDAD, Iraq, Dec. 13 - Less than two days before nationwide
elections, the Iraqi border police seized a tanker on Tuesday that had
just crossed from Iran filled with thousands of forged ballots, an
official at the Interior Ministry said.
The tanker was seized in the evening by agents with the
American-trained border protection force at the Iraqi town of Badra,
after crossing at Munthirya on the Iraqi border, the official said.
According to the Iraqi official, the border police found several
thousand partly completed ballots inside.
The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was
not authorized to speak publicly, said the Iranian truck driver told the
police under interrogation that at least three other trucks filled with
ballots had crossed from Iran at different spots along the border.
The official, who did not attend the interrogation, said he did not know
where the driver was headed, or what he intended to do with the
ballots.
The seizure of the truck comes at a delicate time in Iran's relations
with both Iraq and the United States. The American government has
said Iranian agents are deeply involved in trying to influence events in
Iraq, by funneling money to Shiite political parties and by arming and
training many of the illegal militias that are bedeviling the country.
Agents of the Iranian government are believed to be supporting the
two main Shiite political parties here - the Supreme Council for the
Islamic Revolution in Iraq and the Dawa Party -with money and other
assistance. Both parties support a strong role for Islam in the Iraqi
state.

Tancredo: 51 Terrorist Suspects Crossed Border Illegally
Joint Terrorism Taskforces Report 51 Persons Arrested on
Terrorism-Related Charges in Last Year
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) today
revealed figures which show that since October, 2004, 51 persons who
have crossed into the U.S. illegally were arrested on suspicion of
terrorism. The figures, part of a Department of Homeland Security
response to a inquiry by the Congressman, document the national
security risk our porous borders pose on the eve of Congress’ first
attempt to rewrite immigration law in nearly a decade.
Federal law enforcement coordinates its terrorism efforts through
“Joint Terrorism Task Forces” (JTTFs), which include officials from the
Justice and Homeland Security Departments. Since October, 2004,
JTTFs have kept track of arrested terrorist suspects who are in the
U.S. illegally. The JTTF document shows 51 persons were arrested
who had “entered without inspection” into the U.S. from countries
such as Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Pakistan.
“If this isn’t a wake-up call to our lax border security, I don’t know
what is,” said Tancredo. “What scares me is not this list from federal
law enforcement—after all, we’ve already caught those terrorists.
What scares me is the potentially hundreds of terrorists who make
their way through our porous borders each year and go undetected.”
The JTTF document shows that the suspected illegal alien terrorists
were arrested on a wide variety of charges from smuggling weapons
into the U.S. to illegally wiring large sums of money into the country.
Regardless of the particular charge, each illegal alien was flagged by a
JTTF because of his or her suspected ties to terrorism.
“This week, the House is scheduled to complete a bill to strengthen
our border security and enforce immigration laws throughout the
country. Judging by these terrorism figures, Congress is not acting a
moment too soon,” said Tancredo. “Knowing what we know now, what
could Congress say if a terrorist attack occurred that secure borders
would have prevented? We’ve relied on our good fortune for too
long—we must protect Americans by stopping terrorist before they get
here.”

RAFSANJANI SAYS MUSLIMS SHOULD USE NUCLEAR
WEAPON AGAINST ISRAEL

TEHRAN 14 Dec. (IPS) One of Iran’s most influential ruling cleric called
Friday on the Muslim states to use nuclear weapon against Israel,
assuring them that while such an attack would annihilate Israel, it
would cost them "damages only".
"If a day comes when the world of Islam is duly equipped with the
arms Israel has in possession, the strategy of colonialism would face a
stalemate because application of an atomic bomb would not leave any
thing in Israel but the same thing would just produce damages in the
Muslim world", Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi-Rafsanjani told the crowd
at the traditional Friday prayers in Tehran.
Analysts said not only Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani’s speech was the
strongest against Israel, but also this is the first time that a prominent
leader of the Islamic Republic openly suggests the use of nuclear
weapon against the Jewish State.
"It seems that Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani is forgetting that due to the
present intertwinement of Israel and Palestine, the destruction of the
Jewish State would also means the mass killing of Palestinian
population as well", observed one Iranian commentator.
While Israel is believed to possess between 100 to 200 nuclear war
heads, the Islamic Republic and Iraq are known to be working hard to
produce their own atomic weapons with help from Russia and North
Korea, Pakistan, also a Muslim state, has already a certain number of
nuclear bomb.
In a lengthy speech to mark the so-called "International Qods
(Jerusalem) Day" celebrated in Iran only, Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani,
who, as the Chairman of the Assembly to Discern the Interests of the
State, is the Islamic Republic’s number two man after Ayatollah Ali
Khameneh’i, said since Israel was an emanation of Western
colonialism therefore "in future it will be the interests of colonialism
that will determine existence or non-existence of Israel".

new suicide operations inside Israel and against Israeli settlements by
Palestinian extremists in PA-controlled zones, responded by Israel’s
heaviest bombarding of Palestinian cities, police, communication and

people on both sides, resulted in the halting of all contacts between
Israel and the PA of Mr. Yaser Arafat.
He said since Israel is the product of Western colonialism, "the
continued existence of Israel depends on interests of arrogance and
colonialism and as long as the base is helpful for colonialism, it is
going to keep it.
Hashemi-Rafsanjani advised Western states not to pin their hopes on
Israel's violence because it will be "very dangerous".
"We are not willing to see security in the world is harmed", he said,
warning against the "eruption of the Third World War.
"War of the pious and martyrdom seeking forces against peaks of
colonialism will be highly dangerous and might fan flames of the World
War III", the former Iranian president said, backing firmly suicide
operations against Israel.
Quoted by the official news agency IRNA, Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani said
weakening of Palestinian Jihad is "unlikely", as the Palestinians have
come to the conclusion that talks would be effective only "in light of
struggle and self-sacrifice- the two key elements that gave way to
beginning of the second Intifada". Iranian analysts and commentators
outside Iran immediately reacted to Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani’s
statement, expressing fear that it might trigger an international
backlash against Iran itself, giving Israel, the United States and other
Western and even Arab nations to further isolate Iran as a source of
threat to regional security. "Jews shall expect to be once again
scattered and wandering around the globe the day when this appendix
is extracted from the region and the Muslim world", Mr.
Hashemi-Rafsanjani warned, blaming on the United States and Britain
the "creation of the fabricated entity" in the heart of Arab and Muslim
world.
"The man who considers himself as the most able politician in the
Islamic Republic utters such nonsense and empty threats at a very
time that the hard line and extremist government of Israel under Mr.
Ariel Sharon is looking for justification of its repressive policy against
Palestinians", said Mr. Ahmad Salamatian, a veteran political analyst
based in Paris.
"At a time that the right wing Israeli government is claiming that the
very existence of Israel and the Jews are threatened and uses this
pretext as an instrument to advance its policy of repression in
Palestine, such statements and ushering such dangerous menaces by
one of Iran’s top officials is nothing but bringing water to Israel’s
propaganda mill, providing it with more justifications explaining its
present maximalist policy", he told the Persian service of Radio France
Internationale.
Though Mr. Salamatian is of the opinion that Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani’s
words are part of both his own show and the ongoing internal tensions
between conservatives and reformers, however, he also agrees with
other Iranian analysts that his "untimely" menace could backfire,
becoming a justification for threats against Iran, at a time that the
United States and its allies are determined to continue the fight
against international terrorism.
"One of Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani’s main characteristics in Iranian
politics during the past twenty years is that in order to preserve his
own position, he is ready to set fire to all the Caesareas for one
handkerchief, including, in the present case, providing Israel with
enough pretext to attack Iran", he noted, adding: "for the time being
and what is important for Mr. Sharon is that this kind of statements
are open invitation for more violence, an encouragement to extremists
on either side of the Israel-Palestine conflict".
Observing that despite the fact that Israel is believed to have more
than one hundred atomic warheads and the necessary technology to
transport them to the very heart of Iran and elsewhere, but no Israeli
official nor any newspaper have ever raised the slightest possibility of
an atomic threat, "even in defence of their very existence", Mr.
Salamatian wondered the reasons behind Mr. Hashemi-Rafsanjani’s
declaration, which he said should be taken seriously "considering the
