The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Threat Matrix: U.S. Terrorism
What's become of bin Laden since he gave us all the slip?
Full Story

Some think he is dead, others that he is hiding because he is scared of being killed.

Whatever the reason for the strange disappearance of Osama bin Laden, not seen alive since his last mocking video statement a year ago, he is no longer the face of the global "jihad" against the West.

Abu Musab al-Zarqawi { TM 25,TM 27 }, the Jordanian responsible for some of the worst atrocities in Iraq, has become the hero of the hour on militant Islamist websites.

All I know is, I'm sick and tired of seeing him on TV and hearing about him. It seems like every day on the news they are talking about him. And of course they have to show video of him. It makes me sick to my stomach! Enough already! (Rant over)

AMERICAN INTERNET COMPANY LOCATED CLOSE TO U.S. MILITARY BASE SUSPENDS AND THEN REACTIVATES RADICAL ISLAMIC SITE CONTAINING DEATH THREAT AGAINST WORLD LEADERS

A statement distributed by the Global Islamic Media Front and located on an radical Islamic American hosted Internet site, contains a death threat against a number of world leaders.

The site was initially suspended and since reactivated. The forum on the reactivated site is now locked, so it is impossible to tell whether the death threat is still housed on the site, but there is no reason to suppose otherwise.

Ironically, the data center housing the Al Firdaws site is located 17 miles from Fort Campell, KY, home of the 101st Airborne (Air Assault) Division (www.campbell.army.mil/newinternet/main.asp).

The statement (at www.alfirdaws.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&t=9116) threatened (s), according to the Society for Internet Research (www.internet-haganah.us/harchives/005294.html), Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, Australian Prime Minister John Howard, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, British Prime Minister Tony Blair and U.S. President George W. Bush.

Contacted by e-mail, the Internet Haganah's Aaron Weisburd said the posting promised kidnaping to be followed by decapitation. Weisburd said according to the statement the plan is in place, including the proposed location for Berlusconi's slaughter.

The Global Islamic Media Front (GIMF) is known as the voice of al Qaeda on the Internet.

ISP APOLOGIZES FOR TAKING AL QAIDA LINKED SITE DOWN

Last Sat. I called the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and alerted an employee to the Al Firdaws site content. He thanked me and said a company official would investigate. Within a couple of hours, the site was off line.

However, a couple of days later the Al Firdaws site was reactivated. Clearly identifying myself as an investigative writer, I called IX Webhosting (also apparently doing business as Hosting-network Gmbh and www.ecommerce.com) on Tuesday, to see if the company had reactivated the site or if its operators had switched to another service provider.

An employee who answered the telephone said that her company was indeed hosting the site. Then apparently thinking I was the Al Firdaws site owner, she launched into a profuse apology for the site being taken down, as there had not been, she said, any violation of the company's terms of service.

I then reiterated to this individual that I was an investigative writer, not the Al Firdaws site owner, and that the site contained a significant threat against world leaders. Asked who made the decision to reactivate the site, the IX employee said it was a member of the company's management. I asked to speak to a manager. The individual took my telephone number and name, and said I would get a call back.

Informed that I would be reporting the situation to the FBI, the IX employee said that the FBI could communicate with the company by the U.S. Postal Service if they wanted the site taken down.

I also told the IX employee that I would make public my conversation with her. Hearing this, she said I could not do that as to do so would be violating her constitutional rights.

It is clear that the content of the Al Firdaws forum violated (s) IX's terms of service (www.ixwebhosting.com/index.php/home.dspPage/page/info.dspTOS). A portion of the company's terms of service reads, "If inappropriate activity is detected, all accounts of the subscriber in question will be deactivated until our investigation is complete. Prior notification to the subscriber is not assured. In extreme cases, law enforcement will be contacted regarding the activity."

AN AUSTRIAN CONNECTION

IX Webhosting, Hosting-network Gmbh and www.ecommerce.com all list their location as being at 247 Mitch Lane in Hopkinsville, KY. A Fathi Said, apparently based in Austria, is listed as being an administrator for Hosting-network Gmbh and www.ecommerce.com.

While I did not attempt to contact Said, here is a portion of a discussion (www.hostingdiscussion.com/news-and-pr/768-featureprice-com-closing.html) about some of Said's reported business activities.

"Ecommerce.com is under control by Fathi Said (stolen), SiteandSites and a host of other domain names are owned exclusively by Fathi Said. Stay away from any site or business that has Austrian Ownership or Fathi Said or any other affiliation with Fathi Said. The problem with this is that Fathi will set up anywhere at anytime; you may or may not know who is actually behind that company. Fathi will use other names, and etc to fool you, be warned and be careful. Fathi while in office ran several businesses ‘on the side,' and sold services that looked like the respective names but were indeed Feature Price (FP) services, no one at FP approved this but Fathi. Fathi also registered Dotregister domains for the clients and did not title them in the right names or addresses, but with 100% owned by featureprice client, these domains were held hostage, with numerous other domains like Featureprice.com unless the officers of FP were to give him over a half million dollars, the officers called the FBI for Extortion."

More information about Feature Price is available at www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/fea050903.cfm and http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2003/07/07/where_did_the_featureprice_customers_go.html

THE DEATH THREAT AND RAKAN BEN WILLYAMZ

According to the Society for Internet Research (SOFIR) the statement was published on the al-Firdaws forum by "ialam al-islami," who has in the past been a prolific contributor to GIMF forums and sites.

The ominous statement is attributed to "Rakan ben Willyamz," an apparently collective name for native European converts to Islam roaming the continent, preparing to strike.

While there have been questions about the credibility of the statement, including the poor quality of the Arabic, as opposed to the first statement from the imaginary Rakan ben Willyamz (www.sofir.org/sarchives/005248.php), SOFIR said the threat shouldn't be dismissed.

"Arguments in support of the statement (if not the threat) being credible, include the fact that it was distributed by the Global Islamic Media Front. That this ‘Rakan' is a different and less-literate individual doesn't necessarily make the statement non-credible. Since when are terrorists great examples of human intelligence? Certainly there is no disputing that the countries in question are all in al-Qaida's sights ... Increasingly the global jihad is waged by ignorant thugs, and their statements are likely to reflect that."

The ben Willyamz name came to light earlier this year. The Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper (AAWSAT) reported (http://aawsat.com/english/news.asp?section=1&id=2577 ) in Aug. that ben Willyamz (or bin Williams), was being touted as someone who would "wreck havoc worldwide."

Al Qaeda's strategy "will depend on surprise such as when near simultaneous attacks were carried out in Morocco and Turkey. Al Qaeda's aim was to target the border between Europe and the Muslim world, east and west, so let this serve as a lesson to the entire west; we have arrived at your borders and no one will be able to stop us," AAWSAT reported that GIMF said on the Internet.

AAWSAT also reported that the British tabloid the Sun indicated al Qaeda was recruiting English men, and referred to six English-language web sites affiliated with al Qaeda that had published material encouraging Europeans to sign up for military training.

Earlier this year, AAWSAT reported al Qaeda warned on the al Firdaws forum, "Do not rejoice, Blair, as you will not be able to follow or halt the movements or stop al Qaeda's new soldiers Rakan bin Williams ... Al Qaeda's new soldiers were born in Europe of European and Christian parents. They studied in your schools. They prayed in your churches, and attended Sunday mass. They drank alcohol, ate pork and oppressed Muslims, but al Qaeda has embraced them, so they have converted to Islam in secret and absorbed the philosophy of al Qaeda and swore to take up arms after their brothers. They are currently roaming the streets of Europe and the United States, planning and observing in preparation for upcoming attacks."

The Al Firdaws site is registered to Marwan Alansary of the Al Firdaws Company in Amman, Jordan.

IRAN: NUCLEAR NEGOTIATOR WARNS EUROPE

Tehran, 29 Nov. (AKI) - In a extensive interview with the Tehran-based Mehr news agency, Javad Vaidi, the head of the Iranian delegation which will meet with representatives of the three European Union countries of Britain, France and Germany on 6 December, has warned that Iran is only interested in the negotiations if there will be the recognition of its right to conduct uranium enrichment, a process which can be used in the development of nuclear weapons.

"As was anticipated by Ali Larijani, the secretary general of the Supreme Council of National Security, these talks could go forward only and exclusively in the case that there is a recognition of the Islamic Republic's right to complete its uranium enrichment plant" Vaidi, said. “We will not sit at the negotiating table with the three European countries, if there are pre-conditions of this type," Vaidi, Larijani's deputy added.

Vaidi also warned that if in the course of the coming meeting of the governors of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), the issue of Iran is included as part of the agenda to be dealt with, "the Islamic republic will immediately abandon the negotiating table."

"We are against these talks that do not have a specific aim and we believe that in no case is it possible to negotiate on our rights to enrich uranium in our plants," said Vaidi.

Vaidi stressed that his country has already rejected the European proposal to transfer the uranium enrichment to a foreign country.

In conclusion, Vaidi said that "without the support of Russia and China, Europe and the United States could never refer the case of Iran to the United Nations security council."

Iran had frozen all work at Isfahan late last year under a deal with France, Britain and Germany but resumed work in August after Tehran rejected an EU offer of trade and other incentives in exchange for a cessation of fuel work and resumed uranium conversion, which is a precursor to enrichment work.

The IAEA last month passed a resolution submitted by Britain, France and Germany, which paved the way for Iran to be reported to the UN Security Council over its nuclear activities.

The EU countries and the United States are concerned that Iran's uranium enrichment programme could be used to build weapons. Iran insists its nuclear programme is peaceful and designed to meet its energy needs.

Iran had informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) late October that it planned to process a new batch of uranium without giving a specific date and earlier this month confirmed that it had begun the process at its plant in Isfahan.

Senior Hamas operative crosses into Gaza Strip
By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

Only days after the Rafah border crossing was reopened, another senior Hamas operative who previously lived abroad crossed back into the Gaza Strip.

Fadel Zahar is the first high-ranking Hamas official known to return to the Gaza Strip since the border crossing was reopened last Friday. His brother, Mahmoud Zahar, is the top leader of Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Fadel Zahar was deported from the Gaza Strip in 1991 along with three other top Hamas operatives: Imad Alami, Mustafa Kanu, and Mustafa Liddawi. Since then Zahar has been living in Sudan and Syria, where other Hamas leaders are located.

Meanwhile, Hamas on Tuesday won elections for the student council at An-Najah University. The victory is seen as a major blow to the ruling Fatah party, whose members won 34 seats as opposed to 40 for Hamas-affiliated students. The student council consists of 81 seats.

Sources at the university said that more than 84 percent of the 13,000 students participated in the vote.

As soon as the results were announced, hundreds of Hamas activists and supporters took to the streets of Nablus, Tulkarm and Jenin to celebrate the victory.

Many Hamas members who have been living in different Arab countries have returned to the Gaza Strip since Israel relinquished control over the Rafah terminal. Last week, shortly before Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas inaugurated the border crossing, another Hamas activist crossed the border into the Gaza Strip.

Rafik al-Hasanat, a senior member of Hamas who has been wanted by Israel for more than a decade, arrived through the Rafah crossing after it was opened briefly to allow stranded Palestinian passengers on the Egyptian side to return home.

Hasanat belonged to Izzaddin al-Kassam, the armed wing of Hamas; he fled to Egypt in 1993 after he learned that the IDF was searching for him because of his involvement in terror attacks. Since then he has been hiding in Sudan, Yemen, Libya and Jordan.

Hundreds of Hamas activists, chanting slogans in support of the Islamic movement, welcomed Hasanat as he arrived home.

Sources close to Hamas said many of its activists, including top leaders, have managed to return to the Gaza Strip since the Israeli pullout. Last month one of the founders of Hamas, Sheikh Ahmed al-Milh, returned to the Gaza Strip after spending 20 years in different Arab countries.

Shortly after the Israeli withdrawal, three top Hamas fugitives infiltrated into the Gaza Strip. One of them, Nihro Masoud of the Jabalya refugee camp, was one of the founders of Izzaddin al-Kassam. He fled to Egypt 14 years ago and spent most of his time in Sudan.

President Bush Can't Simultaneously Remove and Reward Illegal Aliens

The President is attempting to do something that is physically impossible - he appears to want to be, or at least appear to be, in two places at one time. On the one hand, he claims he want to see the immigration laws enforced and talks about the need to remove illegal aliens who are caught near the border. He noted that the administration wants to implement "expedited removal" for aliens caught anywhere on the border. He also talked about the effort to repatriate illegal Mexican aliens to the interior of Mexico to make it more difficult for those aliens to attempt to try to run the border. Yet, his guest worker program would reward those illegal aliens who succeed in getting to the interior of the United States. These illegal aliens would be eligible to participate in his guest worker program.

We are waging a "War on Terror." The President and his administration remind us of this constantly. He stated that the guest workers would receive secure identity documents to help employers know who they are hiring. This is simply wrong! With the crush of millions of illegal aliens showing up at immigration offices around the country, it is to be expected that many of them will be undocumented aliens. Think, for a moment, what that term means. These individuals have no identity documents. Absolutely nothing would stop terrorists from showing up at an immigration office and apply for a guest worker permit under a false name. If they managed to stay 'under the radar' so that their fingerprints are not on file, it would be absolutely impossible for the immigration employees to really know the identity of the alien standing in front of him/her. Even if the person had been arrested for a minor charge the name relating to the fingerprints might still not be that person's true name. Whenever you look at an arrest record, or "rap sheet" it is not uncommon for the bad guys to have multiple identities. In fact, according to the 9/11 Commission, the 19 terrorists who attacked our nation used a total of 364 different identities. The only thing worse than no security is false security. These documents may be tamper-resistant, but if the process by which they are issued is so terribly flawed, they will not enhance our security, only provide the false illusion that they provide secure and accurate identification of the bearer of these documents.

Kyla, everytime we make a report and it is washed away by the gov.......I say a little prayer of hope.

I hope that the bottle rockett, means that the next plane that left LAX, was one of the "Secret CIA Prison Planes".

As long as the gov is too stupid to know the difference between a missile and a bottle rocket, then no one can guess where the missing terrorist is.

We had a Senator tell a talk show host on TV, that he had gone to Syria and told them that Bush was going ahead with his war plans on Iraq, before the war started, this in last couple weeks.

If the President went on the air today and said we had not caught the person or persons who fired a missile at an airplane in California, the liberals and anti crowd would be foaming at the mouth, it would tear the country apart.

We know what is happening, that is all that matters. Let them consider us as "those crazy people who read TM".

If you live long enough, you will hear the rest of the story, I do all the time.

But like you, at times, I wish they would simply tell me the truth about what we are dealing with.

So all you need to do, is imagine the terrorist is in a plane on his way to a long and secret location, and we won't say anything about torture.

If I start to get weak on the point, then I give a few minutes of recall to all of our POW's, that were taken from Viet Nam to N. Korea, Russia and China, for torture and labor till death........Oh, and yes, I was called crazy for saying that the prisoners had been taken to other countries, but today, it is common truth.

When my husband was rescued from the German prison camp, they brought him back to the states, he had been shot through one lung when he was captured, God allowed him to live through it, but he was sickly for the rest of his life.

They took him to Montana and he did guard duty at one of several POW prison camps that we had here in the states, that held Germans, who had been captured overseas and brought here to get them out of the war.

For everyone they arrest and hide, the evidence will lead to more, often many more arrests.

If it is known that we have arrested them, then the liberals and ACLU will go to court and get them freed, the Gov, often cannot go into the court and present a case, as to do so would mean telling things, which are better kept a secret.

Think of it as a granny google, I try to find the things that the others don't see.

Everyone sees the name or location and googles it, but few will look at the wealth of information that often needs to be found and indeed it often leads to things that are almost unfindable.

When I find our CIA reports on the website of President Fox, in Mexico, and it says that we will be in full war with the jihadi's past 2020, then I try to remember that it is a real war we are fighting....

I don't recall the Fox website, it was posted here about a month ago.

Keep in mind that half of the United States (almost) voted for Gore and Kerry, both would have been bad for the country and you will realize how very close we are to civil war on our shores, as well as the jihad war.

We are not only fighting the jehad muslims, but a lot of the attacks are pure communist gangs, Americans fighting to rule the country and too stupid to know that the plan they have is wrong and not going to work if they do win.

Now, lets all hope that I am correct. I still like the thought of prison ships floating on the sea.....but did you ever think that all the tunnels and underground cities that we are said to have, could be full of terrorists and POW's?

How many POW's are in Area 51, in Nevada and the Gov denied that it existed for many years.

LOL, there you are, let your mind roam and you will have a book, that cannot be proven true or false.

N.J. Gets Full-Time Weapons Of Mass Destruction Team

UPDATED: 6:29 pm EST November 29, 2005

WASHINGTON -- The Garden State now has a full-time team ready to respond to biological, chemical or radioactive attacks, officials said Tuesday.

Based in a firehouse at Fort Dix, the 22-member weapons of mass destruction team was organized as part of the state's National Guard and certified Monday by the Defense Department. It would be called upon by the governor when needed.

"Today was a long time coming," said Rep. Jim Saxton, R-Mount Holly. "I hope the day never comes when this team is needed. But New Jersey is the most densely populated state in the nation. Should the time come when New Jersey has need of WMD response, our team will be in place and can be part of the federal response."....

You may find this story of interest. Just appeared a couple of weeks ago in both this publication and the LA Times. It seems that Northrup Grumman just unveiled a missile defense system designed for commercial airliners. Reading between the lines, one can assume that there have been threats or attempts made involving LAX in particular.

Northrop unveils airliner defense system against missile attack

Northrop Grumman Corp. has unveiled a system attached under an airliner to protect from possible missile attacks, in a move to spur public support for equipping commercial airplanes with missile defense systems.

The equipment would work by emitting a laser beam that would jam the guidance system of a shoulder-fired missile, a Los Angeles Times report said Thursday.

According to the report, the Los Angeles-based defense industrial group put the 6-foot-long canoe-shaped device on display last week at Mojave Airport.

Recent reports of criminals attempting to smuggle shoulder- fired missiles into the United States have renewed attention on efforts by the US Department of Homeland Security to protect airlines from portable surface-to-air missiles.

Amid intensified debate over the necessity of onboard defensive systems, domestic airlines, already financially strapped, are balking at moves to equip their jets with such systems, which could cost up to 1 million dollars per plane.

The Department of Homeland Security has warned of the widespread availability of portable weapons and that terrorists could use them to shoot down jetliners.

"Airplanes approaching LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) are particularly vulnerable because they are flying over mountains "as they descend, the report quoted Jack Pledger, head of the Northrop unit that developed the system, as saying....

The X's are an old joke, Velveeta once sent me a copy of someones post, from one of the boards.....the email address had been x'ed out.

In a silly moment I googled them, as she had said something about my googling anything.

I found a whole bunch of stuff to read.

The 19 X's of yesterday, was a moment's thought, we see 19 used by the muslims, so I did 19 of them, that pulls a lot, but not exciting, so I added jehad.

I have not googled the 19 x's with the other keywords, as in the different spellings of al qaeda, or terrorist, muslim, attack, let your mind roam, hostage, POW, camps.

Camps should be googled more often, as should meeting, which reminds me of something, if the muslim marriage is arranged by the elders, then why are there so many muslim dating sites?

I started out this morning to google OBL, using it 19 times, and got tired after the O..........LOL

We could use other numbers, 9 and 4 are used a lot, as is 44. I used 1426 for the muslim calender year for a long time, don't know when I stopped, as I did not mean to do so and the year will change soon, so we might find that 1427 will show up.

Google any thing that is mis-spelled, out of place or that a machine translater didn't convert, as I suspect some of the words are meant to not be translated. But google will find the word used in other posts.

If you see a word or phrase you don't know, then google it.

Sometimes a word or phrase will jump out at you, so google it......it costs you nothing to google, except time, and it is fun to see what it pulls.

When I first went on the internet, Excite.com had a program called Voyeur, you could click on it and see what others were searching for, if it interested you, then you clicked it and saw the results that it had pulled.

I often watched it, learned how many ways there was to ask for porn sites AND that is how I found WaltonFeed.com, the place that I buy my dried foods from, for every day use.

Someone had asked for bulk food storage, so I clicked on it too......LOL, then checked Walton's out on the Mormon sites and discovered they shopped there and that made it good enough for me.

Maybe, I learned at Excite, how to search for the odd things.

Some times, my mind starts thinking of googles to do, if I do not make a list of them, then I will forget them.

Have fun, you never know what google is hiding.

Missile Attack On Passenger Jet?
Radio News | November 28, 2005

Posted on 11/28/2005 7:49:25 AM EST by texianyankee

I heard on the radio this morning, that a pilot of a passenger jet departing LAX claimed to have narrowly avoided being hit by a missile. It was reported that the jet was about 6,000 feet in altitude & over the ocean when the event occurred. The news report further stated that authorities believe it was possibly a flare or a "bottle rocket."

I googled but found nothing. Anyone else have some info on this? I dont recall whether it was CBS or NBC radio news.

Check out the battle the state of Georgia is having over the Ten Commandments. Most of these put the Ten Commandment up after Albama.

Georgia Bill would OK 10 Commandments display

I will join you in your rant.

Either clinton is going to come out and admit that he is anti-America, or he is in the process of paying back some of the acts he has been paid for.......

He sounds like Scott Ritter....

Guess dirty money does that to you.

I hope you didn't think I was ranting at you, Granny! That rant was
directed at the MSM.<<<

Too late, I already joined you in your rant.

It never entered my mind to think of it other than what you meant, enough of clinton......let him disappear.

I have the strongest feeling yet that something is VERY IMMINENT

I have the same feeling. As we drove thought Atlanta this weekend. For some odd reason I thought this may be the last time I see Atlanta as it is. I was on the alert of course. LOL

Then I went into IIWAT (If I Was A Terrorist). I would not fool with New York, DC etc. security is too tight. I would say I was, then go after a city not closely watched. Who would of thought, OKC?
