>>>Al-Qaeda vs. Queen Elizabeth?
Thanks for the ping, Cindy.
Trying to get caught up on the thread, but this is one of those that just jumps out at you.
This also jogs the memory of possible threats to the QE2 cruise ship, especially in light of the recent "pirate" attack on a cruiseliner.
>>>It will be 1 month in a couple of days - woohoo
LOL. Enjoy and wishing you God's blessings.
Will look forward to your translations.
Thanks for the ping, Lucy.
I do keep watch of who is teaching at the Universities, as we'll be looking in the very near future for my oldest.
LOL, Duke wouldn't be on this list anyway as you'd have to be an oil magnate to afford the tuition.
Excellent dot connection there Vel
A look at an evil female jihadist:
SHE WAS A DEVIL IN A DENIM DRESS
Belt malfunction foiled would-be hotel bomber
BY MICHAEL McAULIFF
DAILY NEWS WASHINGTON BUREAU
Sajida Mubarak Atrous al-Rishawi confesses on Jordanian state-run TV about her failed bid to set off an explosives belt last week. The wife wears explosive belt during the confession.
JERUSALEM - She wore a white head scarf and a long denim dress, clothing that let her blend in with the wedding guests in the ballroom of the Radisson hotel in Amman, Jordan......

What's really interesting is that the jihadis took a copy of the video from Jordanian TV, branded it with their logo, and are distributing it on the jihadi boards. Images from the video and the complete video as released by IMC is up on my website.
That's interesting - I have to check it out - thanks. I guess they see it as a new recruiting tool.
Why thank ya. LOL
>>>However, the fact that they are openly being handed out at US mosques in Virginia, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Illinois less than forty-eight hours after the Al Qaeda attacks in Amman, Jordan, appears problematic to this writer.<<<
Keep on keeping on, Laura.
Hopefully someone is listening!

AFP: Australian City Evacuates Public Transport in Terror Alert
Monday, November 14, 2005
BRISBANE, Australia, Nov 14 (AFP) - Authorities in Australia's third largest city Monday emptied all public buses and trains of rush-hour commuters for 30 minutes following anonymous telephone threats against the transport network. Brisbane officials linked what they admitted was an "overly cautious" response to heightened security fears following last week's arrests of 18 Muslims in Sydney and Melbourne on charges of preparing bomb attacks.
Brisbane Lord-Mayor Campbell Newman announced mid-afternoon that all the city's buses and trains would come to a halt from 4:45pm to 5:15 pm because of the threats, made in three calls earlier Monday to the 000 emergency number.
"From 4:45pm, the buses will be pulling over, they will discharge their passengers, the bus drivers will be instructed to take their passengers a distance away from
the buses, and they will wait for half an hour," he said.
"Then they will hopefully continue on their way, and we won't have any problems at all, but that's the instruction at the moment."
Train services were also halted during the 30-stoppage, which took place without incident.
The east coast city's buses and trains had already been halted for about an hour at around noon in a first response to the threats.
Queensland state Premier Peter Beattie acknowledged that the preventative evacuations were an extraordinary step.
"We're being over-cautious because we're not sure if they are hoaxes or if they are real," Beattie said earlier in the day.
"In light of what happened last week in Sydney and Melbourne, I think Queenslanders would want us to be over-cautious. We haven't made this decision lightly."
Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson said the threatening calls had been "specific, certainly in terms of the threat to the bus and train system, and the clear inference was in the Brisbane area".
Beattie and Newman visited two of Brisbane's main transport hubs during the alert.
Police documents released in Sydney, meanwhile, alleged that eight of the 18 Muslim men arrested in counter-terrorism raids last week had been stockpiling large quantities of detonators and chemicals used to manufacture explosives.
Authorities said earlier that some of the chemicals found during last week's raids were similar to materials used in suicide bombings that killed more than 50 people in London's transport system in July.
The London attack was carried out by British-born Muslims.
The 18 men arrested in Australia were either Australian born or naturalised Australian citizens.

Yes, actually I was just reading that one.
We must be peeking over each other's shoulders. LOL
Just checking this one too:
'Outback shooting trips used for jihad training'
TWO properties in the remote Australian bush were used as jihad training camps for a group of would-be Sydney terrorists, it is alleged.
The training allegedly took place early this year on western NSW properties booked under false names such as "Adam George" and "Andrew Scott".

**Notice he used "George" in his name.
I've been touting the George name "coincidences" here for a while.

French judge probes bin Laden's brother
French judge reportedly wants to scrutinize bank accounts of Osama bin Laden's brother for possible money-laundering.
According to a Sunday report in Le Journal du Dimanche, French Judge Renaud van Ruymbeke apparently made the demand to Berne public prosecutor Claude Nicati in Switzerland.
Van Ruymbeke heads a money-laundering inquiry targeting the financial operations of Yeslam bin Laden, brother of al-Qaida's head. Yeslam bin Laden has been living in Switzerland since 1973 and has Swiss citizenship.
At issue is a suspicious financial transfer of $300 million to Pakistan via the Deutsche Bank in Geneva.
According to Le Journal du Dimanche, the transfer was from an account held by a branch of the Saudi Binladin Group. (snip)

Did Al-Zarqawi Really Bomb Amman?
[11/14/2005 9:58:00 AM]
By Dr. Elias Akleh
Many people believe the lie that Al-Zarqawi had sent four suicide bombers, including husband and wife, to Amman to bomb three hotels centers for launching war on Islam and a backyard for the enemies of faith ..the Jews and the crusaders as claimed on the webpage of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. As in Iraq the bombing succeeded in killing only Arabs, who happen to be Sunni Moslems, the group Al-Zarqawi claim to defend in Iraq, the bombing came in response to the conspiracy against the Sunnis in Iraq, Al-Qaeda webpage stated. Al-Zarqawi is a myth created by American psychological operation to benefit the colonial expansion of the American/Israeli/British Triad in the Arab World. Accusing Al-Zarqawi of Ammans bombing is just a cover up for a more sinister political assassination. (snip)

14 November 2005: Rumanians shot, one killed in Muslim rioting in France Sunday
The complete absence of press coverage over the death of one Romanian, and the wounding of a second in a shooting in "a violent incident in the Aubervilliers" is shocking.
According to a report from Rompres, a Rumanian government press agency in Bucharest, the two Rumanian citizens were shot on Sunday by a gang of rioters as they left a discotheque.
The complete report from Rompres follows:
Paris Embassy To Follow Inquiry in Romanian Citizen's Dealth in French Riots "Romanian Embassy in France Ready To Support Repatriation of Romanian Dead in Aubervilliers Suburb of Paris" -- Rompres headline
Rompres
Bucharest, Nov 14 (Rompres) -- The Romanian Embassy in Paris is ready to support the repatriation of a Romanian citizen dead on Sunday, 13 November, in a violent incident in the Aubervilliers northern suburb of Paris, the Romanian Foreign Ministry says.
The Embassy pays attention to an inquiry into how the incident took place and is ready to offer support, if requested, to the Romanian citizen injured in the same incident and to the family of the dead Romanian, the Ministry says in a release on Monday.
The Ministry took note with regret of the violent incident on Sunday, when a Romanian citizen lost his life and another one was wounded.
From what the French authorities told the Romanian Embassy in Paris, it resulted that an inquiry is underway, and people close to the two Romanians and the embassy will be told its outcome.
The Romanian Embassy in Paris made sure the relevant authorities in Romania were conveyed the information about the incident, in line with the legislation in force. The Romanian Foreign Ministry will continue to keep the public opinion informed about the course of things, the release also says.
Two Romanians were shot on Sunday by a gang in the Aubervilliers suburb of Paris, when they stepped out of a discotheque.
