LONDON Western intelligence sources said Al Qaida-aligned cells have procured the SA-18 anti-aircraft missile from the former Soviet Union. The sources said the missiles were smuggled into Turkey and acquired by Al Qaida-aligned cells in the Middle East."These are serious missiles and represents a step up in Al Qaida capability," an intelligence source said.
On Oct. 28, the French daily Le Figaro reported that Al Qaida-aligned cells have obtained SA-18s for attacks against French airliners. The daily said the cells acquired the missiles in 2002 from the so-called Chechen mafia.

The safe house was suspected to be an operational base for a suicide bomber cell with an alleged foreign fighter who was to carry out an attack in the near future. During the raid, Coalition forces killed seven terrorists and detained five.
The terrorists were armed with rocket propelled grenades, machine guns, and explosives. One of the armed terrorists killed in the raid was also wearing a suicide bomber vest.

OPERATION STEEL CURTAIN UPDATE
CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, AR RAMADI, Iraq Approximately 1,000 Iraqi Army Soldiers and 2,500 Marines, Soldiers and Sailors with Regimental Combat Team 2 continue clearing the town of Karabilah of terrorists and weapons in Operation al Hajip Elfulathi (Steel Curtain).
The operation began Nov. 5 to restore Iraqi sovereign control along the Iraq-Syria border and destroy the al Qaeda in Iraq terrorists operating throughout the al Qaim region.
Clearing of Karabilah is slow and dangerous work for the Iraqi Soldiers and Marines because of the high concentration of hidden bombs in the city.
Since the operation began seven days ago, 67 mines and improvised explosive devices have been discovered. These bombs are frequently placed in trash piles and buried in the soft dirt. On some occasions entire homes are rigged with explosives. Iraqi Soldiers and Marines today found a home booby-trapped with a 60-pound explosive charge and 10 large explosive rounds. Due to the danger posed by these explosives, they were destroyed in place.
Thirty weapons caches have been found and destroyed during Operation Steel Curtain. Many of these cache sites contained the materials for making IEDs. Artillery and mortar rounds are commonly used, along with a triggering device, in the construction of roadside bombs and car bombs while booby-trapping an entire home is a new terrorist tactic.
Now that the Iraqi Army and Marines have secured Husaybah from al Qaeda in Iraq-led terrorists, residents are returning to their homes. The displaced persons camp guarded and run by the Iraqi Army to provide food, water and shelter for Husaybahs displaced citizens for the last week is emptying and is scheduled to close soon.
Power and utilities are being restored throughout Husaybah. Local workers are repairing the citys power lines and electricity is estimated to be restored to the majority of the city within 24 hours. Telephone service was restored yesterday.
The offensive is part of the larger Operation Sayaid (Hunter), designed to prevent al Qaeda in Iraq from operating in the Euphrates River Valley and throughout al Anbar and to establish a permanent Iraqi Army presence in the al Qaim region.

Camp Of The Saints Comes True In France. Lets Stop It Happening Here.
By Donald A. Collins
The French this week must now feel they are living Camp of The Saints thirty years late.
Do you remember the allegorical tale in this 1973 novel by Jean Raspail? He tells about the end of his world, our world, where Western civilization is not destroyed by a meteor, nor some new plague, nor pollution, nor nuclear war. It is destroyed by an alien invasionnot aliens from outer space, but from the Third World.
As one reviewer wrote:
The plot is very simple, and the quasi-documentary style is riveting. A million starving, filthy, disease-ridden Hindus set sail for the south of France, expecting to find Paradise. The French are struck by a paralyzing social conscience, unwilling to defend themselves from this pacifistic invasion. France is overrun, followed by the whole Western world, as all the alien, inferior, and envious peoples of the Earth take their revenge upon our superiority. In a triumph of altruism, Europe and America are dragged down into the rest of the world's squalor and wretchedness.
While the Mainstream Media seem not to want to emphasize exactly who is responsible the horrendous violence rocketing around France, these alienated French youths are immigrants, mainly Moslem.
According to the Washington Post article of November 6, 2005:
Such a dramatic demand for recognition (by these youths) underscores the chasm between the fastest growing segment of France's population and the staid political hierarchy that has been inept at responding to societal shifts. The youths rampaging through France's poorest neighborhoods are the French-born children of African and Arab immigrants, the most neglected of the country's citizens. A large percentage are members of the Muslim community that accounts for about 10 percent of France's 60 million people. [Rage of French Youth Is a Fight for Recognition, By Molly Moore]
Importing cheap labor, not allowing the time for cultural assimilation, crowding people into poverty in close proximity to the good life of most Frenchmen, has proved to be a dangerous and short-sighted policybut one which many countries, including the US, seem determined to follow.
An example of the resulting down with the government attitude described in Molly Moores Post article:
A husky, French-born 18-year-old whose parents moved here from Ivory Coast. At 3 p.m. on Saturday, he'd just awakened and ventured back onto the streets after a night of setting cars ablaze.
We want to change the government, he said, a black baseball cap pulled low over large, chocolate-brown eyes and an ebony face. There's no way of getting their attention. The only way to communicate is by burning.
Like other youths interviewed about their involvement in the violence of the last 10 days, he spoke on the condition he not be identified for fear the police would arrest him.
But he and others described the nightly rampages without fear, surrounded by groups of younger boys who listened with rapt attention. A few yards away, older residents of the neighborhood, many with gray hair, passed out notices appealing for an end to the violence.
These current riots will end, as have large riots in the US and elsewhere. But the message is clear! There is no such thing as a free lunch or profit earned by sweating it out of cheap imported labor.
The assimilation of a few, such as occurred in the US between 1925 and 1965 when fewer than 200,000 immigrants a year came here, is a good model for our future.
Continuing the present insane policy of immigration at present rates will spark turmoil, the undermining of our democratic form of government and bring further diminution of the strong middle class which has proved a bulwark for keeping us free and prosperous.
We can only pray that this French example will cause prompt and comprehensive action by our own leaders to:
Cut the numbers of immigrants,
Allow no amnesty or guest worker programs
Protect wages,
Start strong interior enforcement, led by strong employer penalties for hiring aliens,
Stop special interest employment immigration using such abused methods as H1-Bs, etc.
Have an immigration moratorium until items 1 through 5 are put in place.
These measures, and only these measures, which will protect and defend us, as our Constitution provides. Any national office holder who fails to join in enacting then must be voted out!

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "An Atlantis police officer shot and wounded a man early Saturday morning when the man tried to grab the officer's gun, authorities said.
Salvadore Maldonado Lara, 25, was shot once and treated at Delray Medical Center, Paul Miller, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office spokesman, said."

E. coli bacteria has been found in a drinking water sample from a North Vancouver neighbourhood, prompting a boil-water advisory that affects more than 500 houses and businesses.
Vancouver Coastal Health Authority officials acknowledged it was possible the sample became contaminated in the lab. But they said they were taking no chances because the same bacteria contaminated the water supply in Walkerton, Ont., killing seven people and making several thousand people ill in 2000.
Terror suspects trained in NSW
Snip: November 14, 2005 SIX of eight suspected Sydney terrorists attended jihad training camps in country NSW earlier this year, a NSW court document alleges.
Three of the eight men charged after last week's counter-terrorism raids in NSW were also stopped near Sydney's Lucas Heights nuclear reactor in December 2004, the document says.
An access lock for a gate to a reservoir of the reactor had recently been cut, and the three gave different versions of the day's events to police, it says.
The men were also allegedly stockpiling hundreds of litres of chemicals used to manufacture a highly volatile explosive called TATP.
Snip: I plan to write the paper to their email below and copy as many of the Islamic organizations in Europe and here as I can in the prayer and hope that someway, somehow many of us around the world will take deep offense to this blasphemy and finally do something, anything, even a campaign of "jihad by email" to let the world know that we'll be silent no more. We've been silent for so long when Allah (swt), our Holy Qur'an, and our Prophet (saaws) have been denigrated. I believe it's our fault that the world feels at ease to undertake such offenses when we all know they don't dare speak of Judaism or Israel. Abe Foxman of the anti-defamation league spoke of the threat of America being "Christianized" and its threat to Jews. As expected no paper of organization dared to respond to this issue.
Terrorgroups train orphans for militancy
Snip: November 14, 2005 at 0103 hours IST LONDON, NOVEMBER 13: Pakistan-based terror outfits, exploiting human misery, are taking children orphaned by earthquake in PoK off the streets to train them to carry out militant activities in J-K, a Sunday Times report claimed today.
The report was quoting Pakistans leading human rights organisation, Ansar Burney Welfare Trust. The organisation said that Pakistan-based militant groups active in J-K were taking orphans off the streets and putting them in training camps. It claimed to have evidence that sympathetic government officials were passing children on to the jihadis to be looked after, according to the report.
Government issues security warning to citizens in South China
Snip: HONG KONG (Reuters) - The government has warned Americans that they could face a security threat in clubs, restaurants and schools in southern China. The United States, in a message posted on the Web site of its consulate-general in Hong Kong, said it has received "credible information that a terrorist threat may exist against official U.S. government facilities in Guangzhou", referring to one of the largest cities in southern China.
"This threat also may exist for places where Americans are known to congregate or visit, including clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools or outdoor recreation events." The message, posted on November 13, follows a confusing week when the United States withdrew a statement that China had warned its luxury hotels that Islamic extremists may be planning attacks. The U.S. government retracted that statement after Chinese security authorities informed it that the source of the reported threats was not credible.
Aussie arrests warning to Canada
Snip: November 13, 2005 Now that the authorities in Australia have cracked a terror network on its soil, Osama bin Laden's warning of targeting five major Christian countries seems to be coming true. Though the Australians have already been attacked in Bali, Indonesia, it is the first time that the terrorist plot has been unearthed on their soil.
Among the other countries mentioned by Osama, Britain and Spain too have suffered at the hands of the terror group, operating through their local cells. In the light of these developments, Canada is the only country which has not yet been attacked by the Islamic terrorists.
For some reason I cannot get this to copy and paste from the site..
