But we have to be careful with laws that could be misused.

Did you know that this Phelps creature (for I cannot call him human) has the gall to 1) hang the Canadian flag above the American Flag (not that I have anything against Canadians) and 2)to hang both of them upside down.

The church, which is not affiliated with a larger denomination, is made up mostly of Phelps' children, grandchildren and in-laws.

Do we really need to create new laws over scum like this guy and his family? Just make sure there are plenty of soldiers around during any funeral in the area. They will take care of things.

As much as I see his motivation, it infringes on "freedom of assembly".

That having been said, I'd be sorely, sorely tempted to "tune up" anybody who dared to protest or disrupt any military funeral that I was attending.

I hadn't heard of that incident, but my parents reported that Phelps'
group did a protest at Newkirk, OK at a funeral for a soldier killed in Iraq,
earlier this year.

Phelps and his gang set a new record for depraved activity.
