Harry Reid just made a motion, that was seconded, to send the Senate into closeed session.Schumer, Rockefeller and Durbin are before the press asking for a Senate Intelligence investigation into the Plame affair
there is a phase 2 the dems have bullet points they want to investigate and the reps have theirs... the two parties don't agree on all of them
And the funniest part of all of this is we still don't know who told Bob Novak, who is the only one who ran with the story.
just finished watching the video response on foxnews... this was a very stupid stunt on part of the democrats... stupid is as stupid does
imagine if they really investigate, i.e. cover the entire Clinton Administration's handling of terrorism and intelligence.....
Imagine the fun we could have punching the Clinton Administration in televised hearings throughout the Spring of 2006...
Nothing in the Constitution about a Judiciary Committee. It's a Senate rule, which can be changed by a majority vote. I know, won't happen, but one can dream!
Better would be for Frist to adjourn the Senate and then have President Bush recess-appoint Alito. He can the reconvene the Senate whenever there is legislation to be considered, otherwise it will stand adjourned. There is no debate on a motion to adjourn.
If Dr. David Banner were real, some a-hole Dimocrats on the Hill would be in a heap big trouble right now.
The Sargent of Arms has to secure the Senate before they can vote to go back in open session
Repubs. . .sing the fight song. . .and get on it. . .NOW!
They will use this secret session to lie about what they discussed in there, just like they do when they come out of the Grand Jury. This will let them continue the fantasy a while longer.
And WMD was found in Iraq, just not stockpiles, which in my mind all went to Syria.
The Republicans should now fast-track the Alito confirmation process.
""The United States Senate has been hijacked by the Democratic leadership," said Majority Leader Bill Frist. "They have no convictions, they have no principles, they have no ideas," the Republican leader said.
In a speech on the Senate floor, Reid demanded the Senate go into closed session. The public was ordered out of the chamber, the lights were dimmed, and the doors were closed. No vote is required in such circumstances."

Excuse me, but aren't the Republicans the MAJORITY?
How can one person, from the minority party force the entire Senate to go into closed session? Why didn't the Republicans come up with some procedural motions to thwart it? Who is in charge there anyway, Reid?
Right. Plus I'll bet there's a major slap-down in the chamber right now!
We should try guess what will be in tomorrow's DNC fax here tonight....
Rotten stunt by the DemsocRATS! It will backfire on them.
(ps - I can post from work today!)
stupid on their part.... bush resigns cheney resigns and it leaves us with Condoleesa Rice
Bingo! We have a winner!
Do not misunderestimate GW.
Durbin's Chicago Office was asked if the investigation concerned the CIA as an unaccountable rogue governmental agency.
The CIA passed bad intelligence to President Clinton about Sudan's aspirin factory. The CIA passed bad intelligence to President Bush about Iraq.
Now we get Dingy Harry spewing half-truths on C-SPAM. Blah blah blah.
I listen to Pittsburgh Talk Radio (104.7 FM) which has Rush, Hannity, Glen Beck among other conservative hosts...but which broadcasts an ABC news update every half hour which is clearly liberal, leftist and attacking of everything concerning Iraq or the Bush administration. I'd like to state how SICK I am of the MSM bashing. For instance, they're still bringing out updates on the bodies burned in Afghanistan by our troops, just like in the past we heard endless updates of Abu Ghraib.
