I think the whole thing is another hilarious example of the Democrats' ongoing OPERATION FOOTBULLET.

He's practically wetting himself in glee...

Thought the GOPers could vote to make the secret session public, if they have the votes. If so, it would further expose these tactics.

I'm with you. I think it's fantastic. We don't even have to go around saying they're crazy nut cases. All anyone has to do is turn on their TV.

The Reps should walk out of the senate and tell reporters, "It's a lunatic asylum in there, and we aren't psychiatrists."
To: Mo1
I hope to GOD the pubbies and RINO'S in the senate have FINALLY
had enough. No more pretense of collegiality.......this is war.

(Mutually assured destruction STILL keeps the Clinton administration criminals out of jail.)
I just called Sens. Chambliss (who is on the senate intel comm) and Isakson, my senators, and told their staffer (as nice as I could) that if they do not stand up to the democrats, whose agenda was to impeach president Bush, that I could no longer support them, nor could I encourage others to. I told them I could not vote anymore republicans into office, I had helped to get them in and now they needed to do something about the childish dems. I told them they are being called spineless, and they need to act like the majority party and quit letting the democrats walk all over them. i told them the report was already issued and it cleared the white house of any wrongdoing re: pre-war intel.
What infuriated me the most was Sen Chambliss's staffer telling me everything was going to be ok. I said not if Sen Chambliss won't stand up to this.
I was actually a lot nicer than I felt, since they are staffers.

thanks for the ping.
I suppose the Donks are attempting one or two things:
1. create media buzz, as the Alito nomination has "harshed their buzz" on the Plame Game
2. bully the Senate into opening a wider, unlimited muckraking expedition (in time for the '06 election cycle)
why the Republicans have not squelched this move with a simple majority vote is a question I cannot answer.

Closed session about to end by majority vote per CNN.

"MSNBC saying Senate to re-open in 10 minutes!"
That didn't take long, did it? I trust Reid & Co. were aptly smacked down in grand fashion!

MSNBC found Pat Buchanan on a telephone somewhere, and is letting him vent...
