You got it.

And it was Jay Rockefeller that authored the Rockefeller memo. Cheif of the Sentate Intelligence Committee I believe. They planned to politicize national security information for political gain.

Now, he had the plan and the 25th Ammendment is the process.

The method was through the courts.. Investigate Frist, Delay, the Plame thing straight from the CIA. They've been gunning for Cheney since the beginning w/Halliburton the Energy meetings..etc..

They tried to PLANT DOCUMENTS re: GW re: TANG service.

It's been the plan.

Now they are panicked as they feared the last chance to put their guy on the USSC... which is really the big prize. Presidents come and go, but the USSC has no term limits.

"Let me tell you, many many people have said those exact same words, and none of them have been correct."

I agree, namely a certain radio personality by the name of Sean Hannity being one........ I hear him say those words almost daily.

Can Specter call Judiciary Committee hearings during these "closed sessions"?

Yes. Again, the Pubs can re-open the session by a simple majority vote. Probably what they're doing right now.

Why not give them their investigation?

NO! That is not the way the Senate is suppose to operate. You don't yield to bullies.

I can guess that Frist and the Republicans would be outraged. Who wouldnt be? This is no less than an act of sedition, and an outright attempt at a coup-de-etat in our government.

Their actions in the purely politically motivated indictment of Tom Delay, indicting Libby, and trying to indict any member of this legally elected administration they can get their hands on is an act of tyranny. There is no other way to explain it.

Every Senate member who participate in this farce should be recalled or legally removed from their seats in the senate, and replaced with people who have the best interests of this country in mind.

This is a time of war, we are facing many challenges, and there are several regional disasters that are affecting a large part of the nation. Their political stunts are not appreciated, nor welcome. It's way past time for grownups to come in and lead.

Enough is enough....

What did Frist think the Democrats were? Fraternal colleagues? The gutless GOP wonders act like the minority party. The Democrats have the balls to show who really runs the place. Pathetic.

Yes, he would still need to be confirmed at some point, but he can put him there.

Good point...if it's such a good idea, why are they trying to blame the Republicans from not stopping them.

Not on AP, AP Breaking News, or Drudge, or the other cable news channels are reporting the judge in the Tom Delay trial has been recused. It was on the MSNBC news "Breaking News" at the bottom of the screen a few minutes ago, and it's gone now.

??????

My jaw in on the ground that the Dems would pull this stunt
