Carl, great analysis. I agree 100%. We are the party of ideas and should let them speak for us. We must counter the vicious Dem attacks with cool calm and procedural precision.

YOu got it just right!!!!! The main campaign line of 2006 and 2008 will be democrats saying Bush fooled them into voting for the war by manipulating intelligence.

Then we hit them in the n*ts with the quotes that they made while Bush was still the owner of the Texas Rangers.

What in the heck do the Dems think they will accomplish doing this?

Don't know yet but it is just the beginning. Its a coup attempt and could lead to civil unrest. In a situation like this facts don't matter, just who has the best propaganda that is believed by the masses that don't vote. Both sides have been spoiling for a fight. Many on this thread last week would accept nothing but a fight. Well, they got their wish, now everyone needs to suck it up and get on with the battle. The left and MSM have joined forces and have struck the first blow. They have paralyzed the government and can quickly destabilize the country with disinformation. The government better show who's in charge quickly. Lincoln arrested the dissenters and jailed them. Anything less than hard tactics will be seen as weakness.

I don't know, but it could be entertaining. I think he probably has better things to do, however.

He was indicted for lying, not for outing a "secret" agent.

His charges have nothing to do with the actual leak, but rather his testimony.

Keep your eyes on the prize.

Exactly. The agenda is all that matters. With Alito, the budget(ANWAR) and the Iraq Democracy, the Democrats will have lost it all. They will have nothing on which for people to vote for them.

The game is almost over, and it is a shutout.

Instead of being fed up with Republicans you might try writing letters to the MSM and some of our lowlife dem congresscreatures and sinators.

This tunt is too extreme and the FOF (fly-over folks) won't stand for it long.

Truthfully, it is a response to the welcome reception being given Alito's nomination coupled with W's desire to have him confirmed this year...meaning in the next 20 days.

Ultimately, the Senate will get to keep its Holiday recess and that's about it

Federal Government Employees cannot strike. I could not when I worked at the Pentagon, and The Patco People found out they could not either. If they pull anything like that they need to be furloughed, fined or both. I believe a nice sum would be $15,000 per day.

you are dead wrong on this thread... the dems invoked rule 21 legitimately... what's your point?

I'm willing to be wrong. I'm disgusted with Frist and right now, all the Senate Republicans. Your mileage may vary, so what?

Rockefeller is basically callig Roberts a liar and saying they have not been investigating phase 2 and stone walling the Dems

Yup, that is what he did. Pretty amazing. So that's what comes of your pleas to the other side, Senator Roberts.

Civil unrest? Are you serious? All 99% of the American people care about right now is that gas prices are falling and it's football season.

Rockefeller wants a do-over? Imagine that. If at first you don't get the answer you want, through a temper tantrum on the taxpayers' dime.

How can who disprove a lie?

Durbin said that AQ had nothing to do with Iraq, pre war. Lie. Easy to disprove. Did you see the (partial) list I posted above? We can use the Democrat's OWN words against them to disprove it. That's the beauty of it.

The left says there were no WMD in Iraq. Really? Then were THEY all lying in 1998 when they said there were and told us what a danger they posed to America? Use the Democrat's OWN words against them.
