Lisa this was about Alito....someone on the RATS side has come to the conclusion that they can't use the filibuster....so we had this Temper Tantrum.. You are so right. They are beaten...fair and square and black and white! Desperation is showing and telling. Their only hope is that their media wing will play this up.
Wow. Reid just blew a gasket at the presser on CNN!
To: marajade
Rockefeller is basically callig Roberts a liar and saying they have not been investigating phase 2 and stone walling the Dems

Roberts may mean well, but he is not smart or fast enough to keep up with the Democrats. Is there anyone in the Senate who is? Most of them are slow on the draw. But at least Roberts is giving it his best shot!

Food fight!
Seriously, I think cooler heads will prevail. Durbin and Reid are unhinged. They probably will not prevail.

I don't believe it's smart to just "let it go." That doesn't mean I'm calling for more speeches, hysteria or even opening their mouthes. I'm talking about rules changes that severely hampers the ability of the Dems to provide any sort of leadership. I'm talking about retribution in the form of budget cuts in specific districts, targeted redistricting and all out warfare played out through legitimate means.
The GOP base, the guys knockin on doors, making phone calls and stuffing envelopes want blood. A speech, no matter how good, by Roberts ain't gonna cut it.
It's about time the GOP uses their political capital to undercut Dem efforts across the board.

OMG, did Reid really say that? He must be ready to explode that Frist took the high road - since Democrats really don't know what that means themselves, they wouldn't know the high road if they fell on it.
And Pat Roberts is one of the most respected members of the Senate. Attacking him is going to seriously backfire on these guys. I cannot believe the stupidity!! They are going to make a HERO of Pat Roberts!

I'll agree with that analysis.
Trouble for the Dems is that I'm now fully back onboard to elect all Reps just to punish the Dems because of this stunt. I suspect many conservatives feel the same.

I can't speak for Republican politicians nor for all freepers, but I really would like to climb into my TV set and punch Reid right in the mouth. His recital of the dnc talking points and false indignation are beyond bazaar.
