No, I think that they just want more airtime to demand that Rove be fired. They think they look so much more electable when they take the "high ground"--as if Bush would follow their advice. They think he's stupid--but he's not that stupid.

Reid is implying that the White House tells the Senate what to do, say and think. He is in front of a camera and loves every minute of it. Reid is fried, so is the dim party. They have nothing, no ideas, just the blame game and lies, the know nothing about TRUTH!

"No more being nice. This is just another Democrat "show-boat" investigation and should just be shut down."

After seeing how the Libby and Delay investigations were being handled, we'd be crazy to let them do any investigating.

Reporter: "Senator Reid, why didn't you speak to Bill Frist directly? He says that you never spoke to him about this or let him know that it was a problem."

Reid: "Maybe not, but anyone would have to be deaf to not realize what I was thinking."

IOW, Frist should have read his mind. Reid now displaying why the Dem supporters are disproportionally women....

Peach, have you ever tried to teach math to an idiot?

There is no point in debating with the Democrats at this stage. This is war. Negotiations are OVER. The Democrats are just going to be ignored. Let them rant and rave and rage all they want. Who cares, they don't run JACK.

Harry Reid and his traitorous gang are just a knat on our big Conservative ass. Swat them and do your business.

That "memo" will be on every Sunday morning news program. This was yet another disaster for the dems. It's been a horrible 4 or 5 days for them.

Roberts may mean well, but he is not smart or fast enough to keep up with the Democrats.

Judith, you don't seem to be one of us in the first place, so go over to the otherside. I think you might find a perfect home there.

Listen, Richard, I've been here for quite some time. I've NEVER said anything against Frist. EVER. Today, I'm sick of him, and I'm not shutting up any more. Frist, the REPUBLICAN SENATE MAJORITY LEADER, can either deal with this from a position of strength, or give up like the sissy he is acting like. SUPPOSEDLY, the Republicans have a majority. For some reason, they do not act like it, have not acted like it in the past, and do not appear to be planning like it in the future. I'm disgusted. I have been on this board as a LIFELONG REPUBLICAN and conservative for MORE THAN FIVE YEARS. This is not my first screen name. I hate liberals. And I despise sissies. Frist appears to have no spine. Just like Lott. Y'all keep up the good work, I won't be joining you until the SENATE REPUBLICANS act like the leaders we elected them to be.

"why his party's symbol is the ass"

Makes me wonder how the symbol was chosen. Rather prophetic, wasn't it?

Republicans don't have to fight dirty. They don't have to go back mediaval on them, as you called it.

But Republicans DO have to combat the lies. Lies about our president, our military's mission in Iraq, and the pre-war intelligence.

Maybe you think it's smart to take it on the cheek, I think it's dumber than dumb.

We can simply make a commercial reminding viewers that Clinton had an indictment against OBL which showed that he worked with Iraq.

We can simply make a commercial or have a press conference which reminds viewers that the Democrats signed a war resolution which stated that it was known that AQ was working with Iraq.

We can simply make a commerial or hold a press conference which reminds viewers that at least 30 major Democrats made statements in 1998 that Iraq's WMD showed a clear and present danger to the country.

It is an absolute dis-service to our fine military to let the Democraps lie about their mission like this.

"Roberts talking about the memo YAY! "

Rats. . .missed that; recoup later, I hope. But listening to an unrepentant Reid; he is furious and getting 'furiouser' taking questions.

Want FIRE from Frist in response!

"what could frist have done differently? The dems did everything according to procedure... are you watching roberts?"

Democrats have entered the arena of defiance. They continue to mock the Republican majority. They know how to defy and make their opponents look weak. It's not about simply following procedure, it's about the dims ability to condure up drama and the Republicans inablity to appreciate their need for counterdrama. If you listen to Reid now he's openingly challenging Republicans.
