HAS THE BASE BETRAYED THE PRESIDENT? Have conservatives let the President down? Is Bush tired of fighting conservatives versus liberal battles? Guest hos John Gibson wonders if the base has actually been more harmful than helpful to the President's agenda.
JOE WILSON IS NOT THE PRESIDENT. Joe Wilson seems to think that he is the smartest man in the world. However, the lying, prentension and demonstrable incompetence suggest otherwise.
Go Home, CHUCK. During Prince Charles' first visit to the United States in a decade, the heir to the British throne wants to lecture Americans on their "overly confrontational" attitude towards Muslims. Why?

I do...I do...!!!! He's funny and is scorched earth. Some days we just need that!
Post 439 was for you, too
Why? Aren't my fellow conservatives supposed to be much nicer and more tolerant than the dopey dems? I can't stand Savage either. Might as well make everyone mad while I'm at it, right? My husband won't put him on in the car anymore because I keep screaming at the radio. These jerky talk show hosts are no better than Al Franken and I can't listen to him either.
He quoted Blanche as saying "I have become increasingly dependent on the kindness of strangers," trying to analogize our increasing dependency on foreign countries, when we all know she said "I have always relied on the kindness of strangers" (boy, I hope I got THAT right). My post was nearly simultaneous with the comment as I was watching him live on C-Span 2 as I posted :)
I'll bet there is nowhere on the net that Rummy doesn't know about! And he probably loves us! :o)
I'm about 3 books behind, my next one may be Johns. I like him a lot. Let us know how it is.
I'm gonna hold you to that. ;->
LMAO!

Hillary: Libby's Leak Lie 'Reprehensible'

2008 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is blasting former top White House aide Lewis Libby for allegedly lying to investigators, saying his decision to leak CIA employee Valerie Plame's name to the press was "simply reprehensible."
"Taking such action for political purposes is simply reprehensible and should never be tolerated," Clinton complains in a statement posted to her web site.
The former first lady, who had her own truth-telling problems in the Travelgate scandal, said Libby's attempts to "interfere with the investigation" by deceiving investigators "raises serious national security concerns."
"This administration owes our CIA agents around the world a promise that their identities will never be jeopardized," she railed. "And it owes the American people direct answers and responsible action."
In 2000, then-Independent Counsel Robert Ray issued his final report on the Travelgate probe, where he concluded: "The overwhelming evidence establishes that Mrs. Clinton played a role in the decision to fire the [travel office] employees and thus her statement to the contrary under oath to this office is factually false."
We are switching to Festivus in the retrokitten household.
Heheheheheee....
I got it because I am concerned about 'The War on Christmas', and the libs attack on everything even close to religion. I am so thankful for the small district where my grandchildren go to school. They still believe in being patriotic, and support Christmas, etc.
??
How?
Check the timeline for the Richard Ames capture.
I think he had betrayed her - and if I'm not mistaken, Plame was recalled in 1905 because the CIA was sure her cover had been blown.
BTW, there are others from CIA saying that she was never under "deep" cover, for what that's worth.
I mean, if she was usig her maiden name as her cover name - she couldn't have been very deep. Everyone I knew who was an undercover agent had a different name from the one that was on their mortgage, or that their friends knew them by. Trust me.
"Why on earth should we care what 'Chuck' has to say?"
Seems like Chucky needs to be more concerned about Muslim relations in his own country.....
LONDON: Prominent Muslim raises concern over terror bill
A prominent British Muslim warned lawmakers Monday that proposals for tough new anti-terrorism laws could undermine the Muslim community's willingness to cooperate in fighting terrorism.
Abdurahman Jafar, a senior member of the Muslim Council of Britain, expressed concern about the legislation, which was drawn up after the July attacks on London's transit system.
The bill would:
Extend the maximum 14-day detention for terrorism suspects without charge to three months.
Outlaw attending terrorist training camps.
Make it an offense to glorify or encourage terrorism.
Addressing a meeting of Parliament's joint committee on human rights, Jafar told lawmakers that he feared a "really horrific counterproductive effect" from the bill.
