The Tony Snow Show-Tuesday, November 1, 2005
Fox Radio | 11/1/05 | Tony Snow

Posted on 11/01/2005 5:46:12 AM PST by Bahbah

HAS THE BASE BETRAYED THE PRESIDENT? Have conservatives let the President down? Is Bush tired of fighting conservatives versus liberal battles? Guest hos John Gibson wonders if the base has actually been more harmful than helpful to the President's agenda.

JOE WILSON IS NOT THE PRESIDENT. Joe Wilson seems to think that he is the smartest man in the world. However, the lying, prentension and demonstrable incompetence suggest otherwise.

Go Home, CHUCK. During Prince Charles' first visit to the United States in a decade, the heir to the British throne wants to lecture Americans on their "overly confrontational" attitude towards Muslims. Why?

Wow, Lovergirl, you are fast. Please note, everyone, that John Gibson is guest hosting today unless I have got this terribly wrong. While I will miss our beloved Tony, I do like John a lot.

Joy Over One

Read:
Luke 15:1-10

There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. —Luke 15:10

Bible In One Year: Luke 14-17

cover Many Christians have succumbed to the false notion that their witness to one individual doesn't count for much. But that certainly isn't supported by what we read in the Gospels. Even though Jesus' public ministry was limited to a little more than 3 years, He was never too busy to deal with one person at a time.

It's true that Jesus preached to multitudes in Judea, fed 5,000 people gathered by the Sea of Galilee, and ministered to the large crowds in Capernaum. Yet He never lost sight of the value of one soul!

We are encouraged when we read of His conversation at night with one man named Nicodemus (John 3); of His visit with one woman at a well in Samaria (John 4); and of His personal interest in one man named Zacchaeus, who had climbed up into a sycamore tree to get a better look at the Lord (Luke 19). How thrilled he must have been when Jesus singled him out of the multitude and said, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house" (v.5).

If you are ever tempted to minimize the value of your personal, individual witness to a single soul, remember Jesus' example. The Bible says there is joy in heaven over one sinner who repents. —Richard De Haan

The One who made the heavens,
Who died on Calvary,
Rejoices with His angels
When one soul is set free. —Fasick

Never underestimate the value of a single soul.

Should be an interesting show. Perhaps John will start out by defining exactly who "the base" really is and how big it is. As much as we'd like to believe there is a strong and wide platform of arch-conservatives in this country, I tend to believe Bush's base is the vast majority of Republicans who actually tend to be far more moderate.

Heresy!!! But I happen to agree. Further, it won't make a bit of difference if Roe v Wade is struck down at the federal level. It will be then up to the states to have their own abortion laws. AND THEY WILL ALLOW ABORTION.
