The Minutemen did spot very few illegals in this area, I thought all along THEY were the reason few were crossing. It was pretty dead while they were here, few illegals and few or no drug smugglers caught. BUT, within hours after they left this area yesterday a load of marijuana was caught after a high speed chase and smuggler wrecked- I heard 800 pounds. Then today 2 groups of illegals were found in this area, totaling about 30 in all. That is just what I have heard of since they left.

Keep in mind the Border Patrol and LE are still here in numbers and the Army is helping the BP here right now. The only thing that changed in the last two days is the Minutemen leaving. Proof enough to me that they did a great job here.

I also want to say they are a great group of people. I did not get to personally meet many of them, but I sent food to their HQ, and some of them camped in our horse pasture. Never had better neighbors, and the lady who takes care of the building they used for HQ went to clean it today- she said they left it cleaner than she has ever seen it, no need to clean. I want to thank them for coming here, and they said they may come back in April- I will be happy to welcome them back if they do.

People have a right to protect their own land.

I have no idea where you developed that idea, but let Me hasten to assure you that if you attempt to espouse that position as some manner of defence in a court of law you will be spending a great deal of time in the Greybar Hotel as a direct result of such an utterance.

""The alien smugglers and drug dealers we now face don't care about anything or anybody. They are ruthless" and the "aliens are much different," said Mr. Been, 48. "They're tearing down our fences, destroying our water tanks, breaking into our homes, slaughtering our cattle, stealing our horses and threatening our families," "

They are MUCH different than 10 years ago. Half of them are scum!

No thanks needed to me, you guys were here to help us!! I kept telling Wanda to ask you all if any of you were Freepers, I think she thought it was an insult or something so she wouldn't ask.LOL she just didn't understand, though I tried to explain FR to her.

Were you one of the campers in the horse pasture W of town?? If so I hope our horses and dogs didn't drive you nuts- when we realized what a pain they were being we moved them. Those horses are such pets I am surprized they didn't move in someone's tent.

I was really busy while you guys were here, but if you come back- let me know ahead of time by Freepmail if I can do anything to help you guys out.

I think the last time ranchers tried defending their property, they were sued by the ILLEGALS and ended up having to give their ranch to them.

In that case, we clearly need laws that recognize and explicitly enumerate (and thus protect) the rights of ranchers to defend their own land. Ranchers and other homeowners in the most affected areas need to band together en masse and lobby for specific, written proposals in group meetings with their legislators. Numbers talk. So do letters to the editor of local papers.

He's south of Road Forks I believe near the old Carbide mine range the goes down to the SW corner of NM that connects to Mexico and AZ. That was where I hunted javelina before it became a draw hunt......rugged area, six man football, Gray Ranch is also close the one that Greer Garson used to own I think......A bighorn sheep area too if I'm not mistaken.

Rugged deadly area, Hidalgo County ?? I still have some friends on the Hildago sherrif department.....

Just too the west of Rodeo is primo pig hunting . And it would be prime coyote route as their are wild game watering holes maintained by the Bunny Cops and it is re-friggin-mote area with lots of shelter for folks afoot.....

They can walk that ridge north and use I-10 for a corridor pickup point easily.

Stay Safe !

The rancher should sue the US Government.

I'm sure that would be a fair fight. Let's see, thousands of government lawyers, judges and other lackeys against one lone rancher. Yep sounds fair to me.
