4ID going back to Iraq!
I just can't wait.
Scout34...4ID 2BCT
My son and his Senior Patrol Leader from Scouts will be going with them.
Scouts OUT!
Becareful out there, you are in our prayers.
There's something about values once you take that first Oath.
Hey Scout34, Are you really going over?
Thank You for your service.
Is the 10th Cav still attached to the 4th Div?...that was my old unit in Viet Nam
I don't know.
It is kinda split up amongst the different Bregades, but yes, the 10th CAV is alive and well with the 4th ID. H Troop and the 10th Cavalry is continued by the 8th Squadron 10th United States Cavalry.

It will be interesting to see their work after on ground deployment.
God bless 'em and thank you lads !!
May the good Lord keep HIS almighty hand over your son and his buddy along with all the 4ID, and bring them home safe, whole in body and spirit after they complete their mission. They serve with honor. We shall prayerfully look forward to hearing the good news upon his return to the States.
Karen and Ken are 4ID,wonder if they will go.Karen was in Tikrit when they captured Saddam Hussein.
Fifteen flight school classmates and myself went over with A Co., 4th Avn Bn., 4th ID in January 67. We had 25 slicks.
D Troop, 1/10 Cav was right next door at Hensel Field at the south end of Camp Enari. They had guns, slicks and some loaches, IIRC, and they had been in country since late 66. Some in my class went to D Troop.
MG Peers was the CG during most of 67 and he would later be put in charge of the My Lai investigation as a three star.
Has anyone seen a breakdown the army casualty list? Like to know what percent have been among combat arms and how many among those in "softer" units." headquarters, quartermaster, NGs.etc.
If they are 4ID the odds are pretty darn good they are going.
Pray for W and Our Victorious Troops
I saw one that broke it down Army Marine Active Reserve Guard and I can't remember exactly where I saw it. That's about all I can remember about it other than the bulk of the causualties came from the Marines.
