Below $2 a gallon adds 10 points to W's approval ratings.
It's not the war, or SCOTUS...it's the GAS. As far as John Q is concerned, GAS and Economy are the SAME.

$2.24 at the local Sam's Club in Sioux Falls, SD and prices are falling even without Tom Daschle looking out for us.

I don't really understand the drop. Oil went from, what, $71 to "only" $61. How does this justify a $1.15 reduction?

AFAIK, Gasoline is more about supply, demand and refinery capacity. Oil is just the raw material for gas.

I haven't seen it below $2.51 in the Charleston West Virginia area as yet, but I will check today.
A cousin in Clayton, North Carolina said he has paid as little as $2.23 though in the past few days.
