An Islamic terror cell has smuggled two surface-to-air missiles into Europe in a plot to shoot down planes at one of France's main airports, it was claimed Friday. French and Algerian extremists with links to al-Qaeda bought the Russian SA-18 Grouse missiles from Chechens in 2002 and smuggled them via Georgia and Turkey, according to French anti-terror sources quoted in Le Figaro. French anti-terrorism investigators learned of the missile terror plan while interrogating a Jordanian al-Qa'eda operative close to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the head of the Islamic terror group in Iraq.

this is scary stuff I saw it on Michael Savages website last night
I'd really like to know how the French got the operative to spill his guts.
I sure hope the french don't decide to fight. That might enrage the islamderthals.
Feathers applied to the soles of his feet for hours on end.........
Where are the missiles now??????........
LOL That was my thought too.
Leaves no marks and the feathers aren't heavy...........
Yep. No evidence of the horrible torture.
PING
Actually, the French have a history of rather downright nasty interrogation techniques that would make your average Muslim cry and whimper and beg for Lyndie England...
Yes, I've heard they subject suspects to forcing them to listen to Johnny Halliday records all day.
They probably made him watch a French movie.......probably started spilling his guts shortly after the opening credits....
And, in a related story, the UK's Prince Charles is just about to come to the USA on an 8 day tour, with stops in New York, LA, and San Francisco, along with a meeting with GWB, to tell us how "insensitive" we are to Muslims since 9/11. I wonder if he even knows what a subway is?
Actually, I'm thinking back to the Algerian Civil War back in the 60s. And they used the old tried and true stuff like the strappado, water torture, electric shock and rape.
The French can quite ruthless in protecting their own interests. They hamstring American efforts not because they are afraid to fight along side us, but because they are afraid that if we succede our power and influence will grow to dwarf theirs even more than it does now.
A world where America retreats, beaten and chastised, would be a more dangerous place, but by making the biggest fish in the pond smaller, the French would make their influence proportionally greater. That is their goal. They are not our ally, but competitors, at least in their own minds.
Read General Paul Aussaresses' " The Battle of the Casbah".
You will then know how the French got the information. The book is an informative read and worth the effort.
Actually, the French can be quite barbaric when the mood strikes them. And I very much suspect that the mood struck them in this case.
