This is exactly what conservatives wanted. Will the Democrats force the nuclear option? They're trying to figure that out right now.
Their first line of attack is to denounce his ideology. The second attack will be to find some personal dirt. Their third attempt will be an attempt to divide conservative support with something that could be construed as a liberal position by Alito.
The final option may be to filibuster and trust that the Republicans don't have the guts to break it.
This should be fun.
He had such a natural genuine way about him, I was instantly impressed.
