This is a choice I can get behind and support. Alito has a definate track record and is a known quantity.

I still would have preferred Janice Rogers Brown. Brown could have been another role mode for blacks and women alike. While Alito does posess the proper mindset, I do think it's important for people to be able to see conservative blacks and women in prominant positions. It allows them the 'choice' of following someone's role model, other than what is generally exhibited by the NOW and Race pimps.

I would bet if Brown had been confirmed several years ago, she would be the pick for the bench. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see her replace the next person who resigns.
