Couldn't agree with you more. Maybe true conservatives still have a shot in the GOP?

I wonder if the Canadian immigration website is going to get flooded with requests again. Libs always threaten to leave when something doesn't go their way, but then they always stay! What does a conservative have to do to get them to ACTULLY LEAVE the country??? 8)

I said all along you pick the best qualified person regardless of gender. Before Gingsberg we had one woman on the SCOTUS -- unfortunately we still have Gingsberg. If the Senate hadn't stalled Owens and Brown for so long, one of them probably would have been the pick but they are too knew to the Federal Court system. One of those for Gingsberg or one of the others would work.
The arguement all along should have been the most qualified "person" for the Court. I am tired of the quota system -- never has worked and promotes people who should not be promoted.
Your comments seem to infer you don't like this pick. Why?

I wanted her to go to the Senate, never dreamt she'd withdraw. But her hearings were going to be an embarrassing disaster.
I'm starting understand that better now and you're right. I've had my eyes opened and grown a bit thicker skin in the past few weeks.

"FREEP THIS POLL: MSNBC Live Vote: Do you support President Bush's nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9876118/"Awesome. I think the media will be silently thinking to themselves "Uhoh. The parties over. Conservatives are united and p.o.'d and looking forward to '06. Dangit! When DeLay is proven innocent of the bogus charge against him, we're REALLY screwed!" heh heh heh. 8)

Then what I heard was right about Specter that he had Alito high on his list? I thought it was too bizarre to be true. I am so glad they are friends!

...but it seems me that the posters who were hysterical about the Miers nomination seem to be more reserved in victory. Maybe because the hysterical right hasn't won anything in such a long time.I admit it. You've got me stumped.

Let the war begin . . . Sorry to inform you but the war began a long, long, long, (repeat long several thousand times here), long time ago. This is just another battle in that war with the left/communist/socialist/abortionists/democrats/homosexuals/anti-military/anti-religion/anti-freedom/pro-tax/pro-everything wrong with the world.
