Please remember: the Canteen is a place to honor and entertain our troops. As such we attempt to keep it MOSTLY apolitical. Thanks for playing and have a nice day! LOL!!! |

I even e-mailed them twice....and they did say that they had been overwhelmed by the number of orders. But I ordered it in MARCH and then re-ordered in May! Sheesh. Now, the ones that I ordered to wear for are coming home in about 45 days. Woohoo to that! If I ever get it now I will designate it for Sarge! I would want to anyway!

Well, he's home.:-)
He looks great, albeit a bit tired. He spent the night sleeping outside the airport at Gulfport.....long story, involving flight changes, misinformation, and crossed wires, etc. Then flew to Houston, then Minneapolis, spent a couple of hours there, and finally home. He decided to rent a car for the week. After a brief stop at Walmart for a "decent razor", he got here around 6:30. His big brother & big sister were here, and the 5 of us munched tacos, talked, laughed, and watched "The Simpsons", just like old times.:)
He had lots of stories, of course, and we had lots of questions.
He just left to go see Katie. (She had to work until 10:00).
I am so happy to have him home.

You know, I searched wikipedia for Sheehan and that's where I got the "facts" of Casey's life...if you read each one, this truly was the All-American kid. Too bad his mother has to be so sour. Casey VOLUNTEERED as an ADULT, he RE-ENLISTED as an ADULT and he dies as an ADULT. Note to Cindy, he's not your "little boy" anymore.
To bad the MSM can't focus on his sacrifice.

The Has-Been Media doesn't ever want to focus on anything positive--especially where the military or GWB's administration is concerned! GRRRRRRR! Yet they have made a hero out of this hideous breeder who gave birth to a hero!

To: laurenmarlowe
Yes it is!! It's nice to be able to show our heroes what America REALLY thinks of them. Who cares what Ted Turner and Jane Fonda say - REAL America appreciates and loves the heroes in our Armed forces.
