That was special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald's message, as he held a dramatic press conference at the Justice Department to explain the five-count indictment his grand jury issued against I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney. "This is a very serious matter," he insisted.

Hold it, Corn, you were the cohort of Wilson who published that this was a great threat to national security. Where's the big threat? No one's been charged with outing a covert agent. Plame was on a desk job in Langley for five years. It is alledged that Libby lied to the investigators and the Grand Jury. And that is all. Corn needs to start looking at the news and stop fantasizing.

The leftist theory is that the White House conspired to get back at Wilson by outing his wife.

Because this is what THEY would have done.
We have seen this happen before.

Ever notice how much this guy looks like he has sat on a corn cob, when you see him on C-SPAN?

I realize that is the theory. What I simply cannot understand is why anybody buys it as a believable method of getting revenge. Especially since its has been to make them a great deal of money and make them wildly popular with a large segment of the population, both entirely predictable results.
