On The Oreilly Factor last night, in Bills Talking Points Memo, he alluded to the left-wing and right-wing ideologues and what they are saying about the Lewis Libby indictment. He began with an example of the right-wing by playing a clip of Rush Limbaugh. The clip (If anyone is a member of Rush 24/7, could you link to Fridays radio show?) he played was of Rush railing about the mainstream medias scandalous anticipatory coverage of the Leakgate investigation. In that clip, he was implying that the mainstream media are trying to damage the Bush administration and bring down an American president with their coverage of the Leakgate investigation. If Im not mistaken, Rush made those comments before the announcement of the indictments of Lewis (Scooter) Libby. Therefore, other than speculation, nothing was really known about the details of the indictment. So, his comments from that clip was in the context of what the motivation of the MSM was for the hideous, wall to wall speculations and innuendos and not what the left-wing and right-wing ideologues are saying about the Lewis Libby indictment.
How do I know, you ask?
Rush went live to C-SPAN's audio when the announcement of Leakgate by the special prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald began and it ran to the end of his talk show without interruption. So nothing Rush said pertained to anything about the indictment of Libby. Only the coverage leading up to it was ever discussed. If you listen and watch The Oreilly Factor; that is not the impression you are left with. By taking Rushs comments out of context, it makes him sound like he was concocting some conspiracy theory about why Libby was indicted, and at the same time painting all right-wingers as tinfoil hatters. Rush never spoke of the actual indictment.
As for the left-wing ideologues and what they are saying about the Lewis Libby indictment. He showed on the screen a couple of mildly provocative blog post headlines. Go figure!
If you think it is bad in PA, try CO. Denver replaced O'Rielly with Glenn Beck due to poor ratings.
Personally, I think OR's a closet RINO, but that's just my opinion.
I heard BO actually tell a caller one day that he and the caller were moderate democrats.
The second he did a promo that tried to label Rush as a right wing Michael Moore I was outta there -- forever. I used to think O.R. did some good but he's become a full-time pompous ass.
Between hawking that crap he sells out of the trunk of his car, berating his masochistic female #2,and pretending to be above it all while having the uninformed answer on everything, this comb-over goof earns his third place and dropping ratings.
I'd say I caught onto O'Reilly back when he would bad mouth ailing Pope John Paul II and demand that the Pope take certain actions on the American priest scandals.
Plus I'd O'Reilly apparently is a sexual pervert who still has the nerve to claim he speaks for the "folks" on morality.
Yes, a pretty bizarre radio show where he only occasionaly lets the woman make a sound and then immediately runs her over like a freight train and tells her how ridiculous she is. O'Reilly is one of those people who sucks all the oxygen out of a room.
Right. Or he just sucks.
That can't be true. It's a known fact Rush doesn't believe in conspiracies
I stopped watching his show a long time ago. He is a pompous, arrogant jack-ass.
I swear, if it was 1942 and O'Reilly had a guest on his show trashing Hitler, he'd interrupt him and say, "But to be fair, Roosevelt's no angel." Or he'd try to find the middle ground between Tojo and Churchill.
What so-called independents don't understand is that in many situations, the extreme position ("extreme" being a relative term anyway) is the right position.
Bill O has always been green with envy when it comes to Rush. Rush has the audience O'Blowhard thinks he deserves.
Only when he's looking into the mirror over his shoulder.
So true...and BOR, has such a "Sqeaky" voice, very hard to listen and BORing, too. :/
I'm not sure he even reaches the level of RINO. I always thought of him as one of those displaced Democrats mad that his party left him ages ago, but refusing to become a Republican (because you know what those dreadful Republicans are like!) either staying registered as a Democrat or changing to Independent which is what he claims to be.
Most talk radio hosts with the exception of O'Really and Savage, have the good sense to realize they would not be doing what they are if it were not for Rush. Those two seem to be blinded by irrational jealousy to the point they are unable to recognize the obvious. Must be the size of their egos that refuse to allow them to see what everyone else does no matter what they personally think of Rush. Al Franken may even realize he wouldn't have a job were it not for Rush. Nah, I take that back. Since he can buy all the rubbish sold by the left, he can't recognize reality either.
So you think that the highest rated and watched show in all of cable television is a waste of air time? If that were the going opinion, his show would not have that high ranking.... right? A real waste of air time is the Chris Matthews show.
