GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Game has been arrested, accused of causing a scene at a mall and refusing to remove a Halloween mask.
"I got arrested for signing autographs," the 25-year-old rapper told WFMY-TV after he was released on $500 bail. "Signing a little girl's autograph got me arrested."
But police said The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, and a group of companions behaved disruptively and swearing Friday at Four Seasons Town Centre. He was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. At one point, police said, his companions were sprayed with pepper spray when they surrounded officers in a threatening manner.
Mall security officers said the rapper was wearing a full-face Halloween mask and cursing loudly, and refused to leave when asked. When police arrived, Taylor continued to act up and was arrested, a police statement said.
The Game said officers overreacted.
"They thought I was Rodney King, man. It was a case of mistaken identity," he told WFMY. "It's unfair, man. Their behavior's unfair."

N.C. Mall sounds like the name of another (cr)rapper.
Stupid is as stupid does!
Catchy name he has there....must have burned out a whole load of brain ceels thinking that one up.
. . . , Set and Match!
All the really choice names, like "Ol' dirty bastard," were taken.
I've heard it's what that genre of music consists of, why should his public behavior be any differrent?
Sup wid dat.
Never heard of him.
"Their behavior's unfair?" "They thought I was Rodney King?" Seriously, how stupid is this guy? So now anytime a black man gets arrested, it's because the cops think he is Rodney King? Was he beaten? Sheesh. You break the law, you get arrested. He must think that because he is a rapper, he is ENTITLED to a free pass. After all, what would the world do without all the rappers?
With that wardrobe, maybe he needs some PR. Gotta separate yourself in the rap Game.
I do this all the time at malls. What's the problem? (sarc)
They lie. That's not a real name.
More likely they thought he was MC Pee Pants.

The Game, a former gangbanger who turned to rap after being shot five times and left for dead, is about peace not war.
"A lot of rap today is bubblegum bullshit that says nothing and means nothing to anybody living in the hood," says the 24-year-old with a tattoo of NWAs Eazy-E on his right forearm. "Im not knocking anybodys hustle but I cant feel whats in hip-hop today. Everybodys rapping but theyre not saying anything. I feel like its my turn now and I can fill the shoes."
Games beloved grandmother nicknamed him Game because he was always game for anything--basketball, running track, riding bikes, playing in the streets. Family problems related to his father caused him to be placed in a foster home from the third grade to the ninth grade. Soon after he was returned to his mother, one of his older brothers, Jevon, was shot and killed. The Game then started running behind another older brother, Big Fase 100, who had been taken in by the Cedar Block Piru Bloods, even though they grew up in a Crip neighborhood called Santana Block on Comptons East Side.
Fase tried to keep him away from thuggin but, once it became clear that Game was going to be there, his brother was determined to teach him how to survive on the streets. Then, after graduating high school in 1999, an older adopted brother, Charles, was shot and killed. "People dont know what type of toll that takes on your life," he says. "Especially being young and just fresh out in the world." A one-time star shooting guard for Compton High School who was offered scholarships to various colleges, the 6-foot-4 Game now started gangbangin hard--car thefts, drug dealing and shootings. Finding him too much to handle, his mother kicked him out of her house.
In 2000, The Game and his brother moved into the projects in a nearby city and took over its drug trade. Their success attracted rivals. Late on the night of October 1, 2001, Game was alone in their apartment when there was a knock on the door. Game became victim to a home invasion. "That was the biggest learning experience ever in my life. This sounds crazy but I appreciate that happening to me, because Id probably be dead if it didnt. Anybody who gets shot and survives feels lucky. On the other hand I went through so much already that I felt somebody owed me. Now I could live out my dreams."
Im not telling anybody to sell drugs or pick up guns. When I sold drugs it was because it was my last resort, because I had four sisters and an older brother and we were eating Cheerios on Thanksgiving.
His sole regret is that his grandmother--the only person who ever believed he could make it out--passed away before she could see his success not just in rap but in life : In summer 2003, Game became a father for the first time with son Harlem Caron Taylor.
Bullchit...you know darn well they was getting food stamps. That with a regular job by all old enough to work would have kept food on the table. It's the bling bling that the ghetto folks crave that leads them to drug running.
