There are a lot of divorces whether you believe statistics or not. And most couples who divorce have children. I'm not sure what the answer is.

It's the inexorable advance of socialism, and I really don't see how we can stop it. A good start would be for so called Republicans to stop acting as Socialist enablers.

more people need to know about that list. in fact, each and every day you can find the media promoting one of those goals.
if we are to save america almost everything on that list needs to be reversed.....

"I think marriage is more beneficial to men than women"
haha!! what????
that sounds like feminist tripe to me. they try to convince women that marraige is slavery, men are bad, etc.

The actual divorce rate is about 33%. For people who marry over the age of 25, the rate is even lower. A well educated, serious Christian person who marries after 25 would likely have a very low chance of getting divorced.

I am saying: This is not the best situation, for a kid. It does not bode well for society. As for the new single mothers who are in "domestic living" situations...girls, don't you realize that not demanding that the guy make you "an honest woman" by marrying you and setting up a legitimate household (yeah, I'll use the word "legitimate," go ahead and sue me), you are literally leaving the door open for him to take a walk at some very inconvenient point for you? Then what will happen to the child born of your "lifestyle" choice
This is absurd. Since when does a marriage license make it less easy for a man, or a woman for that matter, to pick up and leave at an inconvenient time? I know just as many unmarried "domestic living" couples in stable relationships as married couples in stable relationships.

Notice they don't reveal the percentage of the total number of black births that fall under this category.
Telling us there was only 75 more births than last year among black women means squat....unless you already know that virtually 70% of all black children are born illegitimately.

. Most women I know who are divorced and not young have no intention of getting married again. Just no benefit. Most divorced women have income streams from one or more indentured men. The marriage had benefits regardless of the presence of the man.

I don't think marriage is slavery. But on average it is more beneficial for men. Studies (for what they're worth) have shown married men live longer than single men but the same doesn't hold true for women.

Another problem that people often ignore is how much danger the daughters are in from mom's revolving door boyfriends.

No, you don't.
Either that, or you know the wrong people.

tudies (for what they're worth) have shown married men live longer than single men And divorced men commit suicide at a rate 10X higher than divorced women.

Right on, man.
And it's the exact same attitude that we all witnessed in the aftermath of Katrina. Bunch of irresponsible people waiting around for the government to solve their problems for them. Lord forbid it if they actually picked up a shovel or a trash can and started doing something for themselves! Goodness no!
The spirit of self-determination and self-preservation has long sense departed a large portion of this country's population.

"It's just that formal marriage, a formalization of a human relationship, is not anymore seen as the only possible indicator of a long-term commitment between a man and woman."
It is also a strong indicator why the death rate in those countries tends to surpass the birth rate with the exceotion of Muslim immigrants. That s an indicator of long term doom.

Maybe, more people should use the "Test the milk before you buy the cow" method. It could help you find the right spouse and possibly avoid divorce. I'm only saying this because it worked for me and my wife.
To: John Robertson
Fine, don't answer the question. You think just because people are in a "legitimate" relationship, they will be less likely to leave than those in an illegitmate (ie unmarried) relationship?
