Libby indicted on obstruction of justice, false statment and perjury charge...
Since when is Russert trustworthy?
The indictment is on the Smoking Gun here: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/1028051plame1.html
Pinz
3rd witness called to the stand,
Miller, NYT's reporter who sat in jail 85 days until she got her story straight (opposite of whatever Libby said)?????
Only for 5 years, and I think he can't argue anything before the SC...... However, this was not a result of direct judicial sentencing.....he was disbarred because after a 'report' was issued with a handslap by the judge involved, some concerned members of the BAR in Arkansas filed proceedings to revoke his license.....
Yep. Change the locks.
Mark Levin should be excellent tonight WABC 6pm to 8pm. I feel if Libby really wanted to lie he would have destroyed the paperwork like the Dems do to coverup. Furthermore, maybe he heard it from BOTH reporters and Cheney. It is "he said she said" with the reporters. AND IT IS NOT A CRIME THAT CHENEY DISCUSSED SECURITY MATTERS DURING WAR WITH LIBBY. STILL NO INDICTMENT YET FOR OUTING THE CIA AGENT. Interesting.......
Fitzgerald will blow his career with this indictment.
Yes, but it doesn't require a certain outcome. I think the only way you would be right is if they could prove the investigation was invalid to begin with. It wasn't. Just because it didn't result in a charge doesn't mean that the investigation wasn't warranted. I'm not an expert on this so I could be wrong. Bus I would be shocked to learn that you can lie under oath to a grand jury just as long as the outcome goes a certain way. Obstruct away everone, just as long as you are really good at it.
This whole witchhunt thing is a criminal act.....
Liberals and their media have had declared early victories so many time in the last five only to end up crushing with the bitter reality of utter defeat. Today is a very bad for liberals and their media, make no doubt about it.
The really sad thing about this entire pathetic ordeal is that this prosecutor could NEVER have brought charges against ANYONE for outing Plame -- because she hadn't been a covert CIA operative within the past 5 years. Furthermore, it would have been easy for any lawyer to prove that Plame and Wilson didn't make it a secret that she worked for the CIA; all of their friends and neighbors knew. So what does the prosecutor have to show for his lame-ass "investigation"? He indicts Libby for perjury. Big deal. Maybe Republicans should start using Clinton's line: "Libby was only lying to protect his family and colleagues...blah, blah, blah..."
you just continue to impersonate a freeper with that statement. ;)
Exactly!
This was not that situation. Here, the prosecutor violated his duties by investigating the facts before determining whether there was a law that could have been violated even if the facts were true. He then set perjury traps for administration people, while being surrounded by liars who should have been charged with perjury--Miller, Wilson, Plame, Cooper and the whole lot of them.
Fitzgerald revealed himself as a partisan hack and this will stick with him for life. I can only hope that he gets creamed in court, and becomes a Ronnie Earle. Had he been a no-nonsense prosecutor, he would have never gotten to this, and then issued a report that simply said that no crime was committed. Had he been a milquetoast like Ken Starr, he would have released a report that simply said that one witness was incorrect on the facts, but he would never have charged him. What happened was that Fitzy went WAAAAY out of his way to get administration officials, even when there was no underlying crime, and NEVER COULD HAVE BEEN
Libby has no right to lie to a grand jury just because he thinks the charges are lame. What's so hard about telling the truth?
No they won't, not ever.
LOL!
