What happens if all the Dems say no, all the 7 RINOs say no, and no amount of persuasion will change their minds?

McCain and the RINOs want the White House in 2008. They're not going to vote against the President after everything with Miers.

What happens if all the Dems say no, all the 7 RINOs say no, and no amount of persuasion will change their minds? Answer: the nominee is rejected. And what happens when 2 of 7 vote to confirm a well-qualified nominee?
Answer: 30 years of strict constructionist rule
I'd say it's a gamble worth taking.

Oh, it might not work, we shouldn't try. I'm skeered.

Either way, it's a win. If we get the votes in the Senate, we get a good Associate Justice on the court; if we don't get the votes, the base is fired up for '06.

"Answer: the nominee is rejected."
And that scares me. makes you wonder why Bush nominated Miers in the first place.

And? They can't reject every nominee he sends up there. As long as we get conservative, originalist judges up there, we're in good shape. I don't care how many they shoot down along the way. This is a fight the Dems and RINOs will NOT win in the court of public opinion.

What happens if all the Dems say no, all the 7 RINOs say no, and no amount of persuasion will change their minds? And it's a highly qualified nominee? We raise h*ck, in unison, and break through the MSM blackout... we highlight to the American people how obstructive the dems are, how anti-America they are, putting politics before the country.
