They burned some bridges to the Christian Right. Uh, a large part of the Christian Right is pissed at the way the uber-cons treated Harriett Miers.
There have been no bridges burned to anyone of any significance.

Uh...I'm part of the Christian Right, and I'm not pissed. Can you name any of us of importance who are?

Uh, a large part of the Christian Right is pissed at the way the uber-cons treated Harriett Miers. So much for reconciliation, huh?

Uh, a large part of the Christian Right is pissed at the way the uber-cons treated Harriett Miers. The Christian Right was stampeding against Miers after that 1993 speech came out. She's lucky she withdrew before she was trampled underfoot.

Last time I checked, you don't speak for the "Christian right." As a proud member of the Christian right, I am not p!ssed at all. I'm very happy that Miers withdrew, particularly after she was revealed to be just another housebroken PC drone in that Dallas speech (hat-tip to George Will).

Uh, a large part of the Christian Right is pissed at the way the uber-cons treated Harriett Miers.Christian Right right here. Not pissed. Was frustrated until reading the 1993 speech the other night and realizing I was wrong and they (uber-cons) were right after all. Glad to find out we (Christian Right, Dobson, etc.) were wrong now, rather than after Miers had been confirmed. I'm ready to stand behind W and his new nominee, assuming it's a real conservative this time.
