This is a documentary from early 2004 showing our soldiers in Iraq. Some funny scenes, plenty of unofficial interviews, etc. I especially liked the one where a soldier talks about road construction in his home town and compares it to what he's done in the same time period.

I rented it off of Netflix. It was interesting and I am ever more grateful to our soldiers.

The language was a little rough. Wasn't it George Washington who punished his soldiers if they used God's name in vain? He wanted God's blessings and thought that cussing would cause them to be withheld.

I rented the movie this weekend. Star of the show Jimmy Hendrix wantabe claimed he didn't know why he was there and didn't think it was worth it. The movie attempted to demonstrate that Rummy's pronouncements were different from what the unit was experiencing. All in all pretty good at demonstrating the tedium interspersed with danger and tension of duty in Iraq. This unit came in from Germany where life is a lot sweeter. Most important concern was the soldier (not the star) that hoped the American people wouldn't forget that they were there. He thought that we'd might forget they were there just like (his words) the civilians had forgotten about the soldiers in Bosnia and Afghanistan.
