It wasn't so much the bath that was the problem. They behave well in the tub.
They objected to getting in the tub. Jackie , other than being heavy wasn't a huge big deal.
Solly was determined she wasn't getting in.
She tried to disappear into the grout line, she threw herself on the floor and went limp.
I tried to slip a towel like a sling under her midsection to pull and give her no choice but to jump in. She wiggled out.
Solly can almost put her paws on my shoulders when she stands on her hind legs. She is also more than 1/2 my body weight.
I scooped her under her front legs and started picking her up. She wasn't so much squirming as she was tryig to catch the shower door with her feet so I couldn't put her in.
I swear she has more than 4 feet, because I know I got more than 4 loose.
Getting her in took longer than the bath itself.
Tonight they are soft and fragrant.
Worth it...
Whew! You just wore me out just describing what you went through! I had a hard enough time giving a small poodle a bath, much less one that's nearly as big as ourselves!
LOL! You must be exhausted. :) My dog hates the bath but she is so happy afterward.
